Basically, I have the GH:WT PS2 kit, and a PS2 controller - USP converter for my PC. I've proven that the setup works as DTXMania receives the drum's inputs just fine, but what I want to know, is if there is a program available (preferably free) that will allow me to simulate a drum kit on my PC, and use the GH:WT kit as the controller, allowing me to play whatever I want? (Looking to actually learn drums, and I figure it'd be better to start off with what I have and then fork out the dough for a proper kit if I enjoy it enough.)

sounds interesting, very interesting, let us know if you find anything out.

Actually, I might try a bit of research too.

apparently you can plug a MIDI drum kit into the Drum Controller, sorta backwards to what you want, but it means you can use a proper electronic/digital drum kit as input for the game.

Yeah, I was reading about that too. It's definitely something I'll do if/when I get a decent kit, but for now I'm still up in the air about how I'll enjoy the drums outside the game. Knowing myself as I do, it SHOULD be a great fit. But I'd still rather make sure than fork out $300 - $600 to find out.

I'll try and set it up to see if it'll work. Though Scythe is betting me $50 that it's not going to work as mine registers as a controller, not a USB device.

Yeah, but at the time I bought the PS2 one as I already had a method of connecting it to the PC.

I am definitely trying this later in the week. I've had my PS3 kit connected to my PC in the past, but not as a MIDI device.
