These aren't really anything to right home about.

I have a feeling it's the tip of the ice berg and there is more to come. It'a putting more pressure on AMD unfortunatly, but thee 875k is at a damn nice chip. The i5 version doesn't do anything for me, but that 875k looks interesting.

They are basicly direct compeditors to the AMD black edition processors seeing as they are hovering around the same price range.

Pretty shit how they aren't binning the better chips to be these like they do the Xeons and Extreme editions. Not worth it to be honest. But then again these aren't aimed as enthusiasts they are aimed and OEM system builders who want an easy OC.

I agree. They're nothing special, just 32nm Nehalem with the core unlocked. Sandy Bridge and socket 1155 are about 6-7 months away.

Oh.... and Bulldozer. :)

I thought the i7-875k looked pretty dam good myself, price and unlocked. Its $250 cheaper than its locked counterpart..?! I do agree that this may just be "the tip of the iceberge" though. Love to see an unlocked 930.

Yeah one of the first I7 Series to come out.

I think it went I7920, I7940 and then the I7965 Extreme edition.

A year or two old now though.
Yeah whats this about?
