I have an ancient ATI 7500 32MB on this dinosaur laptop, it's pretty awful compared to even my slowest smartphone LOL

Amazing job on those scores Dasa!  Hard to believe in such a short time to be able to beat those Titan scores with a single card.  Not to mention that I had ran heavy modded bios for those too.

still 7% behind the titans graphics score but not a bad effort for what will be a mid-high range card

gave it a little nudge with the powertune liquid metal vmod

Been a while since I've been around these parts. Hope you all don't mind a bit of a mic drop :)

CPU isn't maxed  for this, just where my daily OC has settled. Voltage requirements go crazy high for the next 100MHz so it's not much of an overclocker.

GPU is near max for air, still pondering if water is worth it atm. There's probably a few extra MHz here and there under air but I'm lazy and this is near max.

Also, there should be an achievement for getting "better than 99% of all results" :p

dam nice rig

with your 4.3ghz limit i wonder if its just one or two cores holding you back

you can oc each core individually with that cpu so some may reach 4.6ghz while others are still at 4.3ghz

don't suppose you have arma3 or fallout4? i have been wanting to see how ram performance compares with quad channel vs single vs dual in them

i know single to dual brought massive gains with my 6700k

I think you're right about some cores holding me back. I hadn't thought of doing the individual core clock thing. Did try the "by load" option but found even with lightly threaded stuff the CPU still ran at the clocks I set for full 6 core loading, so abandoned that as a kind of half way quick'n'easy solution.

Pushed to 4.5GHz easily with just SuperPi for initial testing (I think 4.6GHz was just out of reach) but I then did multi-threaded stress tests and found I had to pump in like a whole 0.1v-0.15v to maintain 4.4GHz vs 4.3GHz. It may go further with individual core OC's but I haven't the time these days to finely tune it to that degree unfortunately.

+600MHz across the board above turbo speeds aint shabby on these big hexacores.

If only I still had that loaner 6950X around for testing... that achieved similar clocks with +4 cores... oh well.

VRMARK

gpu stock vs stable oc which brings about 10% change in timespy more in other things things is only bringing a 3.8% performance difference in vrmark

http://www.3dmark.co...29/vrpor/73128#

ok gave it a run with the cpu\ram at stock dropped it 5.4% so its a little heavier on the cpu\ram than the gpu but still it seems like there is a bottleneck somewhere

http://www.3dmark.co...136/vrpor/73128

how odd

ok lets see what the steamvr test does

all stock 13137

cpu stock gpu oc 14781 so with the gpu oc its 12.5% faster
cpu oc gpu oc 14756 cpu oc makes no difference so its completely gpu bottlenecked unlike vrmark

VRMark coming down the pipe now...

Maybe a new thread for this is needed.  Plus, we want it to be informative as to expected results from hardware at stock settings moreso than the pissing competition that the other benchmark threads tend to be.

good idea have a minimum requirement of running stock speed

so if anyone does a unstable\max performance benchmark they also need to provide a 24\7 oc benchmark and a stock benchmark

or just keep the unstable benchmarks to this thread is probably best

its unfortunate that vrmark orange the free version is mostly a cpu test once you get to around gtx1070 performance level and you need to buy the blue test for a gpu limited benchmark

there is another vr benchmark in the works to be released in q1 2017

OK, VRMark Orange Room run, this thing seems to run windowed and like 3DMarks before it the free version is crippleware.

This is running on my Xeon W3550 which is essentially an i7-950 (4c/8t 3.07 - 3.33).  No overclock or throttling active, 16 Gig DDR3 @ 1066 (triple-channel).  GeForce GTX 960 graphics card, 2 Gig VRam.  Win7 x64.

3994 in VRMark Orange Room (V1.0)
Average frame rate 85.77
Target frame rate 109.00
Oculus Rift minimum spec frame rate 81.00

Might try another card or two in my other i7 box at a later stage.

Not really my official results as Im still messing around but these are pretty stable clocks.  Memory I think is holding it back but I feel lucky I can run at 2933 from what Ive been reading.  Biostar bios is stable but still has bugs.  Pstate wont update correctly, setting it to 4ghz will give 2993 which I read other have been seeing.  I dont really like using software to OC for the cpu but its good to get the idea of what it can do.  Havent really tried to go over 4.1 much yet either.
