The CPU version of this thread went so well, I thought I'd do the same for GPU's.

Share your opinions and cast your vote.

AMD?
NVIDIA?
Price to performance?
Money means nothing, give me the best?

Hi all,I am only new here and would like the person who asked this one to re think what they are asking !

AMD?
NVIDIA?
what the fuck have you been smoking

I am also a PC gamer and as A bit of a HARD CORE FIRST PERSON SHOOTER,
I am running AMD on NVIDIA, on a 3 way SLI RIG were you born at the end of 2010 ?
(Story about the name after)
Nvidia make GPU's not CPU's so to match the 2 as a VS, You need to be thinking about what is it that you want AMD with Nvidia cause then you may have gotten my vote for HELL YES over clock that bitch and pull in 100+fps for a first person shooter called bf3,or any game made within the next 5 years running on SLI 2way above the 550'sGTX

Owned by a drunk looking for a post that GOOGLE sent him to.......

OK story about my name,
Did a search for hippie owns drunk only to find this BS of a website/forums then said if I see a nOObs post I was going to own them (cause lets face it I am drunk and won't know of this in the morning) PAYback for some hippie Bitch who should have been kick the crap out of on the spot by the drunk"yet I was as stoned as he/she was" who knows she had tits he had tits"me being drunk got a feel of the 2"Asked for a PUFF he/she said no...

And here I am seeking my pay back " was aiming to see them at the next hippie bongo party where they all get together and play all night long over one small green spliff" to beat the shit of out him with this big green bush i have growing then say no nice guy's only get to smoke my bush :P
Now time to PWN
YouOwnedMe is this whack jobs name

I like me my dual GPU cards. On that front ATI are the better manufacturer by far imo. So my last three cards have all been ATI/AMD dualies.

Oh If only I could read,I would still tell this guy he was in a dream world where AMD dose nothing but what the CPU should do and left the GPU BS to the GPU thus MORE FRAMES PER SECOND, case all nubs know nothing but what they are told by other nubs

Run 2x 550GTX on AMD and still get a high end frame rate while the ATI rig cost 2x more and gets only half the frames, Where did you clowns go to school,So,Then,I,Could,Keep,My,Kids,Away,From,There, Your as smart as I use to be and that's as smart as a retard who's head has flattened by a steam roller
In my words you need a brain

Until Nvidia offers triple screen gaming setups off the one card it's AMD for me.

I have owned both over the years. I had a set of 6600gt's once. They rocked for Counter Strike and Farcry LAN battles. Next Rig I had first one, then a pair of 4870s. And these also rocked. Yesterday I bought a 7870 on preorder. Why? Cause it's well priced and rocks also. If NVIDIA had a better product for a better price, I probably would have bought that. I have no bias for any hardware really. I have bought just as many Intel CPUs as AMD over the years. Just so happens that Intel is scoring my hard earned cash at the moment ;-)

im looking at a 680 to most likely replace my heavily OC'd 5850.. im mainly a battlefield 3 player and according to benchmarks the 680 has the upper hand...15fps or so
alot of people in my bf3 platoon that have got 7970's have been having FPS issues, just generally running slower than expected, yet the blokes with the 680s are getting exceptional FPS on ultra settings...
Rig: i5 2500K @ 4.2ghz ,4x4gb (16gb) Gskill DDR3 1600mhz,Gigabyte Z68X UD3R-B3,Galaxy GeForce GTX680GC 2gb,120gb ocz vertex 2 ssd, a few 2tb hdd's,all packed into a Antec P193 and running a Samsung Sync Master 2443 24inch LCD Next Upgrade: Old rig: Q6600B3 Overclocked to 3.2ghz,4gb Corsair and a Asus P5Q Pro, HD5850

@meateatinghippie, Not sure if troll or completely uninformed... Either way, assuming by now you have realised people saying AMD in here mean the gpu division previously ATI, before AMD bought them out, You should kindly eat some humble pie and continue on another course, joining up to own noobs with insults that self own yourself will get you in trouble pretty fast. I'm 50/50 on this being troll,

So that ultimatum lasted what ... 10, 11 days?
I for one caved in and have a 680 on the way from germany. $590 delivered.

Since i have had my crossfire 6970 setup i swear i would go back to Nvidia. But as of yesty nearly punched a hole in my monitron because of BF3 lockups so i went out and bought a 7970 and i actually think that ive got a slight gain in performance in BF3 than my crossfire setup. Amd crossfire has made me pretty sour towards the idea, ive never tried SLI tho. For me now its just going to be single card gaming, i think thats all you need anyway.

From what i hear your are one of many. Probably why people care so much about single gpu performance rather than the 590 & 6990 capabilities.
