This is really just out of curiosity to find out which email services you use for your main email addresses.  Everyone has a gmail or hotmail account for spam, but I'm interested to see what you use for your main emails.

I predominately use gmail but i also have an outlook.com account with the mailbox name i wanted.

I also use a paid email service starfleet.com, and outlook.

But these both get fetched by my gmail account.

gmail account is used to sign up to most things.

Starfleet email addy is used to sign up to more serious things

and outlook account is because MS account.

I'll also add, I've got 2 outlook, 2 gmail and 3 starfleet accounts that are all active.

Hotmail account from back when I was a kid, so while it has a stupid name I still use it for Microsoft stuff, accounts I signed up to ages ago and more casual stuff.

And a Gmail account that uses something close to my real name for anything that would benefit from it, things like job applications and service accounts.

Gmail for most important things, but still use my old Hotmail account from years ago for certain things

So...

For personal I use a mailbox from my ISP.

For work, it's a work hosted Exchange.

For customers it depends on size (We're small medium business support) but it'll either be their own hosted exchange (exchange 2010) or O365.

There are a few oddballs, but they get charged extra for support.  (Those that use stupid PLESK crap and IMAP to connect their emails then they whinge about calendars.)

Main accounts are hotmail/outlook, and gapps hosted on gmail.

Unless I'm on mobile, I tend to fetch it all via Outlook 2013.

I also use gmail for anything likely to result in spam. Used bigpond for many years as my primary until the forced migration to outlook.com, which is horrible. I also have a couple of privately hosted domain accounts, which are fetched by gmail. I now mostly use Apple iCloud, specifically the old me.com.

Work is still the old domino server, but I don't use it for personal correspondence. It gets enough junk in it already.

Whilst I voted other it is actually 3 Gmail accounts and 3 ISP accounts with Internode.

2 Gmail ones for anything that might be spammy. 1 Gmail one with my domain name (for work).

2 Internode ones are for personal stuff and the main internode account one for only communicating with Internode. One day I suppose I should clean this up. Like so many other things, one day, perhaps.

All through Thunderbird email client.

Gmail. I hate it, but having just one address despite ISP churn outweighs the woeful editor.

There's one with Internode as well, but it comes with having an ISP. I don't give it out.

If you haven't noticed, hotmail now allows you to 'add' addresses to your single mailbox.

This is why I'm with them.

I had an old warhammer referencing email address from when I was 11 (i don't know why I remember making that account specifically....)

And after many years of using it, it would have been a major to move.

So I simply added some more 'professional' sounding names @outlook.com (also owned by hotmail) so I can send business mail to my non kiddy address.

It's this feature alone that kept me with hotmail.

EDIT: it also fails because outlook.com and hotmail.com are the same service....

I voted Gmail, but actually it's Gapps for my own domain.

Work's email is plain old Exchange 2010.

I use my own hosted service for my personal email on my own domain. I have a gmail account for all my google services, I have an email on a friend's domain for work I do with her, and then a few more gmail accounts for my not-for-profit org.  I tend to have most of these setup on all my devices. I don't setup my work email on any non-work device however, I don't need that!!

Oh yeah, and I have quite a few "micorosft live" accounts for various Microsoft stuff I've done over the years,

On MS' suggestion, I've rolled outlook into hotmail.

Personally, I just use gmail.

I used to do the whole "my own mail server" thing. Initially at my house, later on a VPS. Blah. Effort.

Part of the catalyst to go to Gapps was spam filtering. Nothing comes close.

I use Office 365 for my personal emails with my own domain, then Gmail for everything else.
