I actually posted about that show probably ~ 9 months ago.  I aquired a bunch of them but only bothered to watch the first one.  Suppose I should give it more of a chance but I wasn't compelled to keep going.

Also been meaning to get through a bunch of others - Eastbound and Down being one of them.

Ridley Scott listed as Director and not JJ Abrams - at least there's some hope for it then.

ed - OK, he's producer but still lack of that second name is good news.

yeah, but then he both produced and directed that mindless turkey Prometheus which took a shit all over the legacy of Alien.

anyway, the credit is executive producer so its less likely that he's been hands on.

A pretty good idea actually... kit to convert a whipper snipper into light duty outboard motor.

Of course, I'd just take some oars and get the girls to row...

This is pretty cool - you can even go back up to 4 hours (full orbit about once every 92 minutes)

I really must need sleep: I read the text on the video as "motorboat attachment", and I was like "Why? They short of volunteers?"

I finally watched Blood Diamond. Leonardo is really quite fine actor imo. The film was nothing unexpected; some of the cinematography however was excellent.

I've not even seen one of these things IRL but they keep popping up everywhere online and it's getting kinda annoying.

By no means the best hydraulic press video either, but some satisfaction to be had.

Went to see Alien Covenant on the weekend.

Ridely Scott is taking the series in a new direction. I might have to watch it again to fully comprehend what I watched.

Seems it was less about Aliens and more about the human condition, AI and evolution.

Last night - Alien: Covenant.

What a terrible, terrible, awful, predictable, fistula of a film.

Also, if you've unfortunately been exposed to the trailer and the prologue shorts, then you've essentially seen the movie.

Alien: Resurrection was a far better film.

Ridley Scott shooting his existential load onto the screen while pleasuring himself into his bank account.

I weep for what's left of this franchise and shudder for what's to come for Bladerunner 2049.

Game over man, game over.

Pity.  But sort of predictable.  Seems these days Hollywood is mostly about making money and the movie makers don't seem shy to release turd sequels, or inferior remakes and reboots.

The US has Bonneville Speed Week but I never knew that we have one at Lake Gairdner.
