Hello! I am looking for the best free/cheap anti virus/malware software, because I am going to have my computer running this afternoon and I need some protection for it.

I would recommend Avast or AVG both are very similar and you can either get the free version or pay for the full version. I use to use mainly AVG but this year after many good reviews I went to Kaspersky and purchased it for about $40.

Avast is the nicest I think.

I just sandbox my browser and often dont run any.

Windows Defender.

Does windows defender come default with the OS? because it sure sounds like it does.

I am having trouble with my computer, go check out the other forum post if you want details, this just means that I can't get anti viral/malware software yet.
