Whenever I read your invite, this pops into my head:

It's 18+ because we're serving alcohol :)

No designated areas???  That allows all ages and just requires a few poles and bits of string. :P

TBH, I don't think anyone under the age of 18 would have enjoyed watching PowerPoint presentations for 2 hours.

Not sure if Chaos is asking because she knows someone who is, or had to babysit someone who wouldn't have been interested but she would have been interested enough to drag them with her : p

It's at a pub, so not our call, I'm afraid (so far as I know, but I will check in future).

And hey, at least my presentation was funny!

Nobody wants to come to ADL, Code.  Only Perth is further from anything than we are, and the perception is that there's nothing there anyway.

Can always hold it at the new convention centre and the play pokies in the Casino. Or catch the tram down to Glenelg and have a Fish and Chip meal.

Just depends on the Date and what is happening in Adelaide.

As always, the issue with any interstate event is the increase in cost - we just can't make the bottom line we want, considering these are free events. It costs more to fly that far, and it certainly costs more to ship gear that far.

I'd love to do something in Perth (I've never been there!), but none of our vendors would be up for the cost of travel, I'm afraid :(

Maybe make DVD so we can download and play and see what is happening at these events for those who cannot attend.

We've played around with live video feeds before, but it never really seemed that popular.

It was mentioned in passing my Graham Tucker - they're still staying pretty quiet on that front.

Really late to the party.  But 2c to throw around.

The worst part with these things is that people decide "Let's do this in the middle of the week!  BRILLIANT!"

F#$k that.  I don't want to take leave for something like this.  Sod that.

Do it on a Saturday.  I'll likely be there!  Serious!.

Weekday?  Even a Friday?  No go.  Takes 3.5 hrs to drive to Sydney.  That'd mean having to take time off work on a Friday.  Sod that.
