it was an update that removes the old system with a new device handler so it recognises more SD cards and such.

I never got update 2 when I was using 8.1, Vodafone being 12 months too slow. Well, I'm running 10 now so it's moot.

Was looking for a app that would allow me to setup a financial tracking spreadsheet for budgeting and shopping. Seems i may need MS Office why not anything else.

Trying to expand my use of this mini beast ,got twitter setup although it will not recognise my phone number as it only recognises Telstra phone numbers. According to Twitter support its based on Telstra systems. Got Facebook up and running with phone number.

Still have not made one phone call on it ,unsure if i can use earphones as the speaker is too low in volume for me.

Still not sure about wifi ,but i turn it on sometimes and i have no idea where it downloading updates from as i have no carrier selected and turned my email and location off so i cannot be tracked.

Because you didn't choose Apple or Google.

Assuming it's like basically any other phone, you can use headphones with an 'inline' microphone and it should work. Bluetooth may be a better option?

Still not sure about wifi

Set it up. It's worth it.

Also, they can probably still track you.

I have some Earphones with a Inline Microphone ,use them for listening to the news and classic radio channels.

Waiting for the Win10 release before i get more serious in its use.

With Wifi can i use same wifi for a laptop i get one ,i don't need setup channels and such.

Need to look through my Pile of PCTA mags i think their was one not long about Wifi.

Mainly i am using my Phone to access websites for games and such for now.

Enable it on your router, give it a name and password, and just look for that AP name and enter the pw on your devices.

Seems  to be a lot happening in these builds looks like they seem to be concentrating on high end phones. Microsoft have moved lot of their workforce on Win10 PC to Win Mobile to get a stable version out.

Someone was saying March could be a sign of a stable build as some conference is taking place.

10.0.10586.122 has a few fixes, mostly for folks who upgraded from 8.1

This should be the official upgrade version.

Still running 107 for the moment.

I get about 27000 with Antutu 6 which is about right for Lumia 830

The Adreno 305 sucks with 3D.

Reading Whirlpool i think the actual release is not far away ,as MS are speeding code writing for the W10 code for mobile phones.

Seems like Fast Ring is the problem now.

10.0.10586.164 is being pushed out as production says Microsoft, despite the 122 to 164, no new changes. Most just bug fixes.

I'm already running it so I don't see the fuss. Yes I did brick the phone once but that was going from an older beta 10586.

Use NORMAL headphones without a microphone.

The audio comes out the headphones, and the microphone is still the handset you can just hold like...a sandwich (because i'm hungry....)
