Still have not made one phone call on it ,unsure if i can use earphones as the speaker is too low in volume for me.

Assuming it's like basically any other phone, you can use headphones with an 'inline' microphone and it should work. Bluetooth may be a better option?

Use NORMAL headphones without a microphone.

The audio comes out the headphones, and the microphone is still the handset you can just hold like...a sandwich (because i'm hungry....)

I found 2 hidden volume controls that raise the volume on both mobile and apps. Asked a guy in Whingepool he mentioned not many people know this and leave it as default. So i can hear phone calls now and talk properly.

If you tap the volume indicator down drops 2 sliders ,when i first saw them both where on minimum so i cranked them up. Love playing with ring tones ,got them set on Nightingales. I can hear them fine as they high pitched and annoy the hell out of me.

Win10 updates are now live for older Windows phone the 640xl is in the list ,but i am going to hold off for a while. Some users are reporting the update stops about 5mins into updating and just hangs.

The update is about 2gb, best not getting it over 4g.

Reading on some US sites then new builds are still incomplete ,even Aussie users still cannot get a speech pack for Cortana to work.

You need to fiddle with the settings to get Cortana to work. Depends on what language settings etc

Might keep 8.1 for a while as i know how to use it now. Going to wait until they fixed all bugs in the release.

That's some wait.

The major bugs like cortana and the speech pack and the keyboard problems. Not all of them.

Some of the older models are not really compatible they where rushed jobs ,MS are advising those with upgrades not working to rollback to 8.1 update 2.

Workmate with 920 isn't getting w10m, I guess those dual cores from 2012 are too old.

Pretty sure that's sound advice for any platform with any software - if it doesn't work, go back to the one that did.

Some of those cheaper phones probably lack storage to install it unless you've put in an SD card.

Anyone know if Javascript can be put on a Windows Phone?

See if i could do this then most webpages would load properly in IE, this might even save the trouble of buying a laptop.

Checked the WIndows Central forums but it does not really say anything. But i do remember when installing Java on my PC it says on Mobile devices and in cars.

Javescript is not Java. Javascript should work, but Java applets will not.
