They come with non-transparent tubing so you can't see the lovely coloured liquid that cools your system and calms your soul.

I was actually going to ask the other day... How do these $60-$90 premade systems with CPU block only compare to a mid to high end stock heatpipe/tower setup on air?

I did see a while back that results on a lot of them was actually worse than high end air.

usually louder, but slightly better than air. slightly.

 

Im still a Noctua HSF + Gelid GC Extreme kinda guy.

Good point, I wonder why they don't have clear tubing?. I can't thing of a good reason.

 

I sold all my WC gear a couple of years ago, I currently run a Noctua D14 monster on my 3770K@4500MHz 1.23v (found a good chip!) Temps dont go above 60's really.  No reason to go back to water.

Probably so you can't see that there's probably only clear water running around... OK, maybe with a bit of corrosion inhibitor thrown in.

Also, I believe that decent clear tubing costs a fair bit more than equivalent boring black stuff.
