:)

Since no one else seems to have mentioned it :)

Weirdest religious holiday of all in my view, today we eat buns emblazoned with a cross and eschew a good steak for over-priced fish, tomorrow is sort of back to normal then Sunday we risk diabetes on masses of chocolate, Monday we try to recover. :)

We'll take part in some of it but there won't be much chocolate, not a huge fan. :)

Cheers

Happy Easter!

Even though I'm not religious, it's a good excuse to shell out on a nice seafood meal. Bought some sashimi calamari squid, baby octopus, scallops and moreton bay bugs for my partner and I tonight. :)

I'm also anti-sugar for the most part, so I bought her a cashmere scarf instead of chocolate. She got me an early gift of a bunch of T2 tea. ^_^

I REALLY wanted some bugs but in W.A. they can be very hard to find so barramundi was second choice, I've been a bit of a heathen and crumbed the fillets, we mostly get farmed fish here and it does improve the flavour :)

Jerusalem I'm sure would agree wild caught barra is way better than farmed :)

Four days to do nothing or something :)

Farmed seafood is tasteless in comparison . Just got to work out exactly what makes it so ... is it the lack of supposed pollutants in the ocean, or is

it the lack of a natural food source ?

... and now the rain she falls ... how fitting ... takes me back to child hood, 'cepting it's not bloody freezing thank fuck :)

The best theory I've heard Ev is that farmed fish don't get any exercise unlike those in the wild. Maybe a few salt loaded shot-shells would help if fired into the ponds ? :)

Happy Easter!

Great day so far. Fell out of bed into the spa this morning with just a short enough detour to make a good coffee. Jumped out of the spa and made pancakes topped with fresh strawberries and bananas. And a second coffee!
Just back from some leisurely geocaching with the missus and daughter.

None of it particularly religious or traditional, but we will hold off the meat and have fish for dinner.

There will be chocolate on Sunday but we tend to go for small, high percentage chocolate with a twist like chilli.

Yes, well... Just because I don't is no reason other people shouldn't enjoy themselves.

Just finished.

Home made hot cross buns just out of the oven along with the Scottish shortbread. And after slow cooking for 5 hours the pulled beef in bourbon bbq sauce is also ready with a mountain of coleslaw.

We are good to go :)

Shortbread I'll make on Sunday, like it fresh from the oven. Pulled beef sounds nice though, we are having scallops, SWMBO has developed an addiction for them :)

I love Easter, working in a Catholic school gets me a 5 day weekend.

Happy Easter everyone, I hope the Bilby brings you lots of eggs.

I had half an idea to do all sorts of chores this holiday, but really everyone around our courtyard is very chilled out. Seems sacrilege

to disturb the calm with vacuum noises etc. The cars can stay dirty for another week  ... been a very bludgey time here ... is good

:)

Had to go to the shops an hour or so ago, our council now gives us a skip a year for hard rubbish, every second house seems to have been cleaning out sheds :)

Our only downside thus far has been our rear neighbours had a very noisy party and about 3 am on Saturday a very drunk woman was yelling at I suppose her soon to be ex-partner at the top of her voice using every swear word known to man and waking everyone up.

I went down to the back fence and found a guy I sort of know there, having a beer. "You going to shut that bitch up or do I need to come over and do it?" I asked "Sorry man, I'll get her out of here now." He did.

Peace descended.

Next morning someone had left a six pack of good beer on my door-step, much appreciated :)

Cheers

I hadn't thought of that, but good point, I was tired and my wife and my immediate neighbours were most un-amused.

It's a yobbo house basically, mostly I don't mind it but that was beyond the pale.

Cheers
