I just signed up to MyRepublic (a dice roll I know) and their special offer is $200 off a PS4 Pro or PSVR. Since I have a PS4 and Oculus Rift already this isn't clear cut.

Getting a PS4 Pro with the discount and selling my PS4 would result in a graphics upgrade for the future Spider-Man game and for Horizon Zero Dawn DLC, however I can accept the PS4 graphics that still look good and try a different experience, however I have an Oculus Rift yet to try.

Thoughts on which I should pick?

I have an original PS4 and a PSVR

I guess the question is, do you want to play PS4 games in VR, or in 4K?

I'm not sure, I'll only buy PlayStation exclusives and get any cross platform the on the PC. If I get the PSVR there are a lot more exclusives, if I get the Pro those few exclusives will look a lot better.

Do you have a 4K TV?

For what it's worth, based on my experience I rate the PSVR as "most practical" VR headset, and the Rift as "most crippled by vendor lock-in".

At this stage, PSVR is by it's nature, game oriented, whereas the PC-based ones have many other uses in VR (such as 3D visualisation, 3D design etc)

As far as I'm aware, tools like Tilt Brush aren't really designed for PSVR.
