Hey folks, so, new trek, whats your thoughts?
Me? I've missed it a bit. This one looks rather fresh and JJ Abrams style, but aparantly from the original series timeline. I'd put forward that it may be it's own timeline, but who knows.
New Klingons! They do look a lot more beastly..
Starfleet tech looks nice too.. And the crack of the incoming warps was awesome.
Onto procedures tho, why is it always the senior staff/bridge officers who go on away missions. Surely with a complement of about 200 personnel on board they could have a dedicated assault team. Yes yes, I know, peace love and unity, thats the federation. But even tng had section 31.
wow.. 10 years? I moved house, closer to work, got a cat, lost job, moved back to the country to be near family who then had some health issues that i'm glad I was around to help with, started helping at my parishes youth groups, got my security licence, been interstate 5 times (3 of those for work), cat died, now waiting for some new work to pop up.
But i'm happy. :)
I do look forward to the future. I've had an idea for a buisiness rattling around my head for the last few years that I think would be an asset to whatever community i'd put it in. But yeah, just got to pull the finger out and get some $$ together to make it a reality.
What size batteries do they take ? AAA,C,D or even 9v types? lol
I just cannot understand why so much hype ,really 346km is nothing. But in the city it would be twice as much usage.
So it uses Electricity to charge ,you know that is just as expensive as Electricity itself. Even if it had solar power chargers on the roof.
Theres a lot about electric cars you don't seem to know..
1. Lithium Ion batterys. These arn't your normal car bricks, they're built low on the car for the best stability and safety. Helps you to corner better too.
The Model S takes upto 90Kw. these aint no 100km nissan Leafs. And how many times are you driving over 300km in a day? not many people I know do that, and I live in the country. Maybe a taxi driver.
2. In the citys they actually have better range! With regitave breaking, the car can recover some spent energy. And when your not rolling, you only use whats poweering the media and aircon.. no ideling engine to empty your tank.
3. Super chargers by tesla will put a large percentage of charge in your car, for free, in about 40 mins. So go, charge the car while you go to a movie, have a haircut, dinner, massage, mani/pedi, etc.
Then theres all the awesome features that comes with Large center console display, autopilot features, over the air updates, and the best safety ratings in the world.
The model S was a game changer, the model 3 is a WORLD changer. it will cut our CO2 emissions, and make our planet better. I want one. :D
The major concerns are really the dangers of the batteries in an inevitable traffic accident and losses in the grid.
Yeah, they had a couple of accidents, hitting debris on the road, so they updated the software one night to increace the road height and added a stronger bash plate in the cars next service. still, thhe cars gave a lot of warning when they detected a problem, and all occuipants got out safely and unharmed before any major car failures.

I see the ABC as a fantastic resource. Sure, theres entertainment... but its usually stuff that the commercial networks won't show, because its too far away from their target market.Paralympics, VFL, bowls, non mainstream sports that don't ever get propper commercial exposure. Programs on science, and critical thinking.
I'm happy with that 14c/day spend. Pretty damn good value for 4 tv stations, many radio local stations, and politicaly neutral news reporting.
They could use sms a lot... picture messaging, faectime, video call, facebook, twitter, instagram, pretty much every feature except voice call.
just like theres brail versions of most texts, or screen readers on pc for the blind.
According to facebook tho, with the deluge of "share this for luck" "mars will be as big as the moon!" and "this month has 5 fridays saturdays and sundays! it only happens every 815 years!" posts, there is no help for "Stupid".
Why as a deaf person who has no needs for a mobile phone have to go and buy a mobile phone then pay for an access plan to use the mobile phone just to secure a online gaming account. And its getting worse.
