FWIW

Don't buy an SCA-branded 1.6A 3-stage charger from supercheap auto.

Mine got stuck on the charging stage and the battery I was charging blew up like a balloon, inside my car (I have an inverter in my car).

I know have an 8-stage Ctek one.

They look to be very good value, have a better videocard and more storage options than comparable makes/models.

In Topic: Advertising to children

Yet I often see adverts for 'family days out' at the greyhounds or horse racing, with facepainting for the kids

Surely both , gambling and sugar, should be kept away from kids

I agree, but regarding the races, perhaps it's advertising the fact that there will be things to keep the kids happy (if you can't palm them off to their grandparents) because (besides the action) the racing/gambling probably wouldn't the focal part of their interest/attention. I saw a few races as a kid, I didn't care enough to care who was winning, but it was fun to see the action. I seem to remember at the car races, more focused on watching my ear plugs drop from the highest seats floating gently to the ground as if I were dropping a stone on the moon.
