We've probably got more energy buried in the ground than Saudi Arabia but get totally fucked over on prices for most forms of it.

50% of our power bills are just pay infrastructure, actual usage is very minor part of it

#1192232 Home Automation - Anyone in to this?

My employer can build those based on c-bus systems but it would cost a fortune with just hardware, let alone programming.

#1191244 Windows 10

How far back does that arrangement go, does it also cover the Win 7 OEMs?  Do you have to use a specific installer or is just the equivalent level to what the licence is for?

I've got a Win7 licence on my i5 laptop - the Home Premium install on it was ridden with viruses and I'd not trust it.  I've extracted the product key so can reinstall at my leisure.

Windows 8 had digital keys in the BIOS, if it's Windows 7 era - it doesn't. That's why there were windows stickers.

One could get the Ryzen 3 cpus, but honestly I wouldn't buy one of those at all.

#1190933 Looking for a easy to use DOS emulator for windows 7/10 PRO

Posted by Jeruselem on 19 April 2017 - 09:15 AM

Can't you just use hyperv for it?

No HyperV works for later OSes, like XP. Pre-XP OSes need hardware emulation especially OSes like DOS.

#1190677 Looking for a easy to use DOS emulator for windows 7/10 PRO

Another option is a Virtual Machine, you can run real DOS OS under a VM.

In theory, you could install Windows 95 on VM to emulate the machine you are replacing.

DOSBOX is games orientated indeed as most dos emulators are more geared to play doom than Wordperfect.
