I guess it's to keep power consumption per core down.
Yeah... well it has to fit in that 15W envelope. But they can ramp single core performance right up. Unfortunately these aren't the 12nm refresh so they won't be able to turbo as high or competitively.
From this - my i7 7700HQ vs those new Intels. They have done well to lower power consumption, but my i7 7700HQ won't be obsolete for a while.
First up, I have worked and paid taxes for the last 35 years
the only money I have ever received from the government was the KRudd stimulus package
I have no private health insurance
I have tried to calculate how much 5 operations, daily dressing changes and a ten week stay in a private room would have cost
Just the surgeries alone would've cost you minimum 50-60k base, and that's before you add anything else in. In your case, it could've cost you close to 100k easily. With the private room stay it could've cost you just much depending on the amount of time they spent on you and consumables. So, I would say, around about figure of minimum 200k is not out of the question of 5 surgeries and 10-week hospital stay.

Yeah, at first glance 2 billion seems like a hell of a figure for sport until, um, context. Nich's comment caused a giggle to escape me and then Rybags puts the real context down. Imagine the degradation of stands etc. after ten years of use let alone thirty ... insurance would be a bitch.
It's a dismal and embarrassing failure of our pollies that this citizen ship shit is still going on. Also I thought Christenson ( sp ?) was due to leave the building this week and he didn't. Can't trust any of them to follow through :\
Christenson is spineless noise maker. Talks a lot and doesn't do anything
