#1202780 My leg and the last 2 months

Posted by eveln on 14 June 2018 - 08:21 PM

Drugs are weird

they had me on a drip for antibiotics, I looked up the side effects, fatigue . once they took me off the drip, my head cleared up

they now have me on another antibiotic tablet, one of the side effects is nausea. and I am feeling it. and will for the next 6 weeks

Not sure if it was the drugs or the situation, but I was getting very depressed. once they made the changes this week, now I am feeling a lot better

Walking is fine, seems big toes are not that important

I know that on the few occasions I've been prescribed antibiotics, I've made it my business to eat yoghurt and or take acidophilus pills ... not sure it works in the same way for guys, but I shouldn't think it would hurt.

edit: must be nice to be getting mobile again.

My parents were away on holiday when this started

they are old and I did not want them rushing home

big mistake

I am still in trouble with my mum

Of course ...DUH! ... " no matter how old you are you just can't be left alone !! " ... hope you didn't show them those early pics dude

#1202482 What's on your mind?

Posted by eveln on 31 May 2018 - 10:56 PM

OK, so I'm drunk. Alone. Which is always a bad time to say anything on the internet...but anyway...

I'm pretty sure I've spoken of a mate who's very unwell. Cancer. With a two year old kid.

He confided in me the other day that he recently met with a palliative care nurse, who, apparently somewhat emotionally, told my mate to get his will sorted and have a decent meal (he's been on a pretty full-on diet as part of his 'treatment').

Now, that's obviously pretty shit for my mate...and everyone involved...

...but the struggle I have now is that he has decided, so far, to not tell his mum (his dad died a couple of weeks back) nor his partner- the mother of his child...

...I'm so not coping...

I know, hell, I ain't the one dying of cancer, but this is Hard, not being able to at least discuss this with friends etc without betraying his trust and faith...

Anyways, I'll likely pass out soon. I'll worry about it again tomorrow

I hope you drank plenty of water before you crashed. I sooo hope you have some headache pills for the morning.

#1202366 What Did You Watch Lately ?

Posted by eveln on 26 May 2018 - 07:55 PM

That's the point Evelyn. There is a massive cover up going on. Mainstream Media film outside courts all the time yet they haven't been arrested !

In his arrest video Tommy even asked a Copper outside if he was safe to film where he was standing and the Copper said "As long as you don't go on the steps of the Court" !

He's not the only one though. Paul Golding and Jayda Francis have been jailed for reporting on Rapist court cases and have draconian restrictions placed on them now !

I'll have to google Golding and Jayda Francis. And as you expect, I didn't know about this Robinson person either. So thanks for the info Outcast.

#1202258 how crap is this government ?

Posted by eveln on 23 May 2018 - 07:17 AM

Maybe it slipped some notice here. It certainly slipped by me till this morning.

The almost half a billion bucks that the Gov. pledged to help the Great Barrier Reef apparently goes to a small company comprised of under a dozen people headed by some bigwigs in mining and other bizness O_o

I knew the Gov had said they would give bucks to the reef just not the small print of it.

"... The funding is proposed to be given in one payment, which is the largest donation that any Australian Government has made to a single foundation for environmental projects.

The Great Barrier Reef Foundation idea was floated by a small group of businessmen at an airport waiting for a flight and set up in 2000.

The board is comprised of representatives of Australian business, science and philanthropy and is supported by companies including BHP, Qantas, Rio Tinto, Google and Orica.

The foundation is headed up by former Commonwealth Bank of Australia chairman Dr John M Schubert. ..."

"...Labor senator Kristina Keneally questioned why the funding wasn't allocated using a public grant process which was "competitive, open and transparent" so others, including the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA), could apply. ..."

#1202058 Smells.

Posted by eveln on 15 May 2018 - 07:05 PM

Bloody love the smell of hot choccy cake,or bread or roasts, or bacon or onion or geez there's sooo many food smells that can bring me undone in the best way it would take forever to mention them all.

Freshly mown lawn given without the added fuel of a powered mower.

The smell of rain coming after an overly long wait for its approach.

As for those smells I don't like, again this list is pretty damn long. Some that make me literally physically react are perfumes and colognes and heavy-duty adhesive type stuffs etc.

The smell of ciggie smoke is another that makes me almost want to heave ... and after approx. 3 decades as a smoker I'm still startled by this reaction.

So many strong cleaning products give me a queezy stomach and dry out my nasal passage something fierce .

I always pick up on the smell of paint fumes coming through the air-con at work, I'm just glad a lot of the new paints have toned back on the smell factor.

Don't like hanging around in garages or old book stores or hardware type places either, I find my airways start to close up and I'm looking for a ventilin or some such.

It really pisses me off that people still think they can burn their garden rubbish in their back yards  here. I mean it's not like their nearest neighbour is over in the far reaches of the next paddock :\

#1201998 What Did You Watch Lately ?

Posted by eveln on 13 May 2018 - 07:35 PM

Well... I'm not actually watching it but I can hear Eurovision on the gogglebox.

It's only the highlights because it's vote time and we were watching Gotham (Box-Set).

Netherlands entry sounds good to me !

I saw a few clips just now, and I think Israel won something <<< OMFG I watched that girl and wanted to smite her down ;) ... Cypriots and French were both quite effective I thought.

As far as Lost in Space goes, ye Dr Smith is female. Won't comment any more on her because of spoilers.

Let's hope she is as irritatingly-slap-worthy and generally arse-kicking-worthy as the original dude. christ hardly a show went by when the urge to punch his face through the screen was so strong it nearly turned me off the show. I hated Dr Smith with a passion ;)

just had the tastiest supreme pizza from our local guys here. fresh out of the oven and two minutes from my plate  ... welcome to the next four days off . sweet.

#1200987 a little "conversation" with a so- called watch service centre requir...

Posted by eveln on 21 March 2018 - 08:12 PM

Don't know anything about it myself, just the word of a friend who fixes watches that cost the best part of a million dollars! Might be enough to convince me to have a go with a Tag Heuer, should I have a spare ten or fifty grand laying around one day.

Crikey mate !! if you find yourself with a spare ten or fifty grand laying around let somebody else tell you the bloody time

#1200952 As a non social media user - Mansplaining

Posted by eveln on 20 March 2018 - 07:54 PM

... thing is, women need to get pastr the human trait of tit for tat and start with a true balance of procedure. It is as bloody wrong for the term " mansplaining " to be as it is to say " females should be barefoot-and pregnant-and stay in the kitchen." I mean, we all know men make better food :P~

#1200571 Alittle question about Dodo

Posted by eveln on 10 March 2018 - 05:45 PM

I remember those irritating commercials from when I used to watch tv. I reckon they helped cure me of my need for commercial tv. so, kudos is due there

#1200300 Food Poisoning - Wouldn't recommend it.

Posted by eveln on 28 February 2018 - 08:05 PM

Shame. Most supermarket stuff like that will have a 'if you're not happy, return it for a refund' type note it somewhere.

Yes I know ... but you know, when you're indulging in 'foods' that perhaps are not great for your body anyway ? I figured the universe was making sure I / we didn't indulge in it ;) ...and as it happens, the image of it has stopped us both from even looking in that section of Woolies freezer. Ultimately it's a win for us.

Also MS, between you and med student friend, surely you have enough nerd to want to know what bacteria actually made you sick~

I think they both have enough nerd to figure they just get it right all the time :P

#1200078 Iceland attempts humanity !

Posted by eveln on 21 February 2018 - 07:00 PM

It seems Iceland, or rather a pollie there wants to bring a ban on male circumcision. "Bloody marvellous !" ... I say.

Now the religions are claiming lack of freedom << to be expected. However, the idea is to ban circumcising children until they be old enough to say for

themselves whether they want to be cut ... and then of course the next thing is what age that will be.

Still imo, Iceland you rock !
