#1189728 I do not, nor have I ever seen a penis ...

At the end , I am all for removing any barrier that stands in the way of equality
But women are their own worst enemy, they tell each other that they must concern themselves with appearance and behaviour. Men do give a shit how they look

The nature of women makes them more nurturing, while men are more aggressive
We are not going to simply give control to you

Women take years off for child raising
While men climb the corporate ladder

Women believe the myth that you can have it all, family and power
Nup, to have one, you need to sacrifice the other. Examples Gillard Bishop, neither had children

A proof of your point ... http://www.abc.net.a...lection/8338698

""I feel like, honestly, I still have much more to give," she said.

"But during the next parliamentary term, [my son will] start school and he'll need to be in Adelaide. And I will need to be in Canberra if I'm the member for Adelaide.

"When I thought about all the things that I would I miss, I just decided that it would make me quite miserable."

Ms Ellis said she would wait until the election to step down, stating in a letter to her constituents that she had "no intention of causing a by-election".

Black men cannot swim here. Everybody else is welcome.

For the sign to be saying " cannot", there'd need to be a red line diagonally through the diagram.

This man had soooo much talent. He played soooo many people. And he is imo the most horribly cold

bad ass Villian out there. His accent lent itself to chilling cold.

I'm glad to have seen lots of your work Sir John and look forward to revisiting it all.

Thankyou :(

I salute you Sir John Hurt.

Fuck FedEx.

Ooops somebody did !

" Dash-cam video captures passenger train smashing into FedEx semi-trailer in Utah"

Everyone have a good national patriotic day or just get drunk

Was an oppressive 30c late last night, so to wake up to a wetish morning feels pretty good. May 'chuck ' the vacuum around the place

this arvo to free up my weekend. Right now tho, not totally sold on that idea... might well do nothing whatsoever ;)

Having just done some vacuuming, I strongly suggest you don't!

" France's minister for women's rights said it was a "shocking" decision to appoint filmmaker Roman Polanski as head

of the jury for the country's equivalent of the Oscars."

France's women's rights group goes on to say the decision to laud Polanski is an insult to women.

FFS ... Lauding a criminal is just a fucking insult to everyone. Well in my humble opinion it is.

I thought it was " honest " ... oh well.

Well, that isn't the meaning it had when I picked it up, but acronyms mean what the person writing them wants them to mean, essentially. "Honest" fits the "H" spot, so it's reasonable.

Usually use "TBH" for places where bluntness is required, personally.

You're right.

Probably means I don't have any humble opinions :)

What does [ imo ] stand for Eveln?

In My Opinion.  Sometimes seen as IMHO, which is the same thing but includes the word "Humble".

I thought it was " honest " ... oh well.

#1187064 What Did You Watch Lately ?

Posted by eveln on 10 January 2017 - 08:22 PM

Interesting method of doing the subtitles - easier to follow than the norm.  Probably helped by them using appropriated English about half the time.

Pretty sure I've seen this idea filmed before, but I've definitely read it.  This is a well-executed version, however.  Very definitely not the usual for Indian film.

I figured I could waste fifteen minutes this morning and am happy to have done so ;) much preferred the layout of subtitles too.

" ... If it happens to impact others, I'll try to avoid it.

If I'm inconveniencing you, and you're polite about informing me; of course I'll help you in all my power.

But cheat me, or act rudely?

Of course I'll spite those people.

If you want to be treated politely, approach politely, it's not fucking rocket science! "

What you fail to grasp is that you holding others up with your moral ' right ' would most definitely be considered a rude thing to do.

What say the last of the line up of cars behind you is late to pick up a kid from school, or some other emergency that wouldn't have been

an emergency had you and the other cars in front flowed through as usual ?

And unless that individual approaches with a huge amount of wrathful urgency, you will feel the need to stand there and explain your actions.

Thereby making the other wrathfully indignant person even later still, which is sure to compound the rudeness thrown in your general direction :)

Leave our $100 notes alone ya twats!

Yep.  The $100 debut was 1984.  That was before I entered the workforce but pretty sure the minimum wage then would have been somewhere around $180/week.  Since then, like inflation it's gone up by near 350%

I've had a wallet full of 50s, it's a right PITA and the $1200 or so it takes to become ridiculously bulgious isn't exactly a lot of cash these days.

If anything they should be thinking about bringing out a $200 note.

OK, fair enough, we are going largely cashless but there's still plenty of people and businesses around in the dark ages.

* raises hand * yep and that'd be me.

I have a debit card for when the place for bills etc. but that's it. If people don't like cash they can jolly well bury me with mine thanks.

On another note entirely, it seems QLD has released hundreds of prisoners that should not have been released. And kept in way over their

allotted time many that should already have been set free :\  ...And it seems the Gov. is in the black money wise and wonders how it should

best spend it :\ ffs ! What's the bet the pollies think to give themselves another payrise ? :P

Smoke and mirrors, the QLD government (like all the rest) are broke and in debt.  I'm no economist but nobody can be in the black if they are in debt.  They've probably just hit the point where the amount they steal from us landless peasants is enough to put them into 'surplus'.  You'd have to show me the report though.

Oh, I've not ' seen ' a report. The courier mail tells me it's true, so it must be so ! ;)
