Does the CC refuse to do business with any company that accepts divorce, or abortion?
I dont know. I dont think so. Not sure if that is something they would investigate per se, but if it came to there atention maybe.
I suppose they have quite a large influence in there hospitals etc.. so if say fetus material was used for medecine.. maybe they do?
But the evidence points to telstra smply not thinking through the implications of supporting SSM. It also highlights the issue with the idea tha SSM is popular... im not so sure it is, otherwise labour would allready be backing it.
Whether that's called a threat or not, that's leverage.
But the CC has been around 1500+ years.. telstra have always known the CC view, they came later and would have to decide if they support SSM, that they should dump any customer that openly denies SScouples from the right to marry as a matter of principle. that was just all a bit hard for them.
Yeah so it now it reads that Telstra won't support SSM but they will support covert paedophillic behaviour ...
There network has probably transmitted more pedophila material than anyone in australia.... so they probably have a great relationship with the CC...
For anyone wondering, it turns out there where no threats by the CC>
In June last year they simply sent a letter:
"Mr Digges pointed out that support of same-sex marriage is incompatible with the business practices of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney, as outlined in the Archdiocese Guide for Business Practice. In turn he also said in agreeing to do business with the Archdiocese, our business partners and suppliers agree to be comfortable with the association of their name and brand with the Archdiocese."
Do it appears they (CC) where not trying to pull there businesses, rather telstra had to make a call to no longer supply the catholic church in support of SSM or dump SSM stance to remain coherent. Well that is my take... like someone said... Money Morals..
