there is a few others out now using the dataplex software like ocz
Corsair 30GB Accelerator $85
Corsair 60GB Accelerator $119
Crucial 50GB Adrenaline Solid State Cache $129
http://www.storagereview.com/crucial_adren...hing_ssd_review

im afraid there isnt much info in comparison to srt but if you have a compatible mb you can try both and decide for yourself

srt is limited to hdd speed for writes unless you enable a high speed option but if something goes wrong you can lose data
synapse writes to the ssd by default so its fast and it has data recovery built into the software to minimise the risk of data loss and it seems to be working fairly well now

I read SRT doesn't do TRIM and OCZ Synapse does.

i think srt needs raid enabled which used to mean no trim but intel has added raid trim support to new controller raid drivers so it should work i would think but i am unable to find anything that confirms it is now working
so one of the drives that comes with the dataplex software is probably the safest bet

Yes it does and SRT only works on Z68 mobos as that seems to be the only one that Intel have included the SRT stuff.

Whereas the OCZ Synapse and Corsair Accelerator solutions work on any PC running Windows 7.

Don't think so.

The table states that Z77, H77 and Z68 support SRT.

MM I would tend to believe Intel more as it is their chipset, especially as the article I linked to was updated on 10-Apr-2012.
So who to believe?

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/chi...ss-chipset.html
Listed in the diagram as a feature

http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/publi...h-datasheet.pdf
Page 53 of the PDF shows SRT as being a feature of z77

http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=2653
Bottom of first page. A review showing a mSata port on the board designed for SRT.

I thik its just an oversight on the page you were viewing, since it never explicitly stated that z77 does not do SRT and Z68 was at one time the only chipset that could do SRT so it reads perfectly fine before the 7 series chipsets arrival.

Good stuff Sparky, got better search skillzzs than me.
:P
Just odd the page I found has not been updated with more more info given it's edit date. You would think they would insert an update about SRT enabled models.

But yes I was a bit confused as to why they would introduce a good feature to a mobo only to remove it on the next model.
