I like clonzilla.
It's free, handles all manner of file systems and it is reliable in my limited experience. It's not very user friendly though. -------------------- Everyone's entitled to my opinion! I've got the T-Shirt to prove it.

I just want to throw in partimage as an option.
I used systemrescuecd on USB and loaded up partimage. You can recover the partition over the network, or just mount a shared folder in linux. It's a GUI interface and is piss easy to use.It took about half an hour to backup a 186gb NTFS partition, because it only backs up used space (25gb). |

I want to get an SSD for my mini HP to make it faster and use less power but i don't want to re install everything so what is a good hard drive clone program to get for it? If you have a lot of data on the current HDD the best solution for you IMO is to use a caching HDD like the Corsair Accelerator or OCZ Synapse SSDs. With these you just install the SSD in the case connect it to the mobo and boot up as normal. Then install the software that comes with the caching drive and set it up to cache the boot drive. The software loads on windows boot and caches the most often used files to the SSD for fast access by the OS. I have the OCZ 60Gb Synapse and it works quite well. This is not as fast as a pure SSD boot drive but not too far off it and means you don't have to stuff around with cloning and no worrying about using up the limited space on smaller SSDs as the conventional HDD is still the C: drive. http://www.corsair.com/ssd/accelerator-ser...che-drives.html http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-synapse-c...ii-2-5-ssd.html -------------------- She's going to be really smart, very savvy, haunting good looks, really good at her job. And kind of slutty.
