Apologies if this has been posted; stupid 3 letter limitation on the search!
I've been creating a couple of basic PHP sites utilising some of the newer features of PHP 5.3.x, (basically, more OO). Unfortunately, my current host, Powweb, (cheap unlimited US hosting), only offers PHP 5.2.17. I've looked at a few other options and many seem to be on PHP 5.2.17. I suspect it's because with the large cheap providers, (where you don't get a dedicated box, virtual or otherwise), they have all sorts of scripts that will break on PHP 5.3.x, so they just leave everyone on the older version. I can't really justify much more than what I'm paying now, which is peanuts I'll admit, but I'm only hosting some very minor commercial pages and my own stuff. In the short term I'm using my own local box for playing around, but it's not ideal, and I'd like to be able to put some of these things in to action soon. So, does anyone know of a large, cheap host, that offers PHP 5.3.x? |

Define cheap ;) For $20/month you can get a VPS that lets you put what ever you want on it. -------------------- poweredbypenguins.org - SledgY lives in the cloud...
