Here in the AtomicMPC forums, we see the good, the bad and the downright ugly of society. Just like society, the good are duly rewarded. Atomic's reward is a Hero or SuperHero tag under the account owners name.
This thread is a homage to those who carry these prestigious tags. The original idea to collate all the Hero and SuperHero announcements came about from a discussion in the original Post Of The Month thread. Without appearing egotistical, I took it upon myself to put together the ultimate list of announcement posts sometime back in 2004. Since then the list has continued to grow, both along with the membership on the forums, but more-so due to the quality of people who inhabit this wonderful microcosm of Internet life that is our community. Putting together this list was quite a task, one that would not have been possible without the help of several others, who had already put together certain resources that were leveraged from to assemble this list. With full credit and thanks to the following : Mael's AtomicWaste website (unfortunately now defunct) : Brilliant starting point. Mael had collected the Hero and SuperHero names back from the early formative days of AtomicMPC. Gave me so many hints where to look in the archives for names that have sadly disappeared from these forums. Without his original list as guidance, this thread would never have come to fruition. Meatbites and johnsee's Atomican's Eon Statistics Board : another list that I leveraged off for Hero and Superhero names. Thanks again to Mael : I offered this list to him first before posting so he had first crack at updating his website, as his site gave me so much to go on originally. The hero announcements have been once a year just before Xmas by the looks of the updates. Maybe the next one will be around then? Also, i would REALLY LIKE if the tag was a pink colour hehe. In that case, i vote sparkles and rainbow coloured!!! :D
