So in that case, PZO, at the very least, once they're downloaded on steam, make backups for it all, so you can easily reinstall it if you need to reinstall steam/windows.

Already registered all the keys with Origin and if I do end up buying any retail boxes I'll just download it all via Origin again....

Wife also has pretty well much all the expansions on disc as well.

Nope, The Sims 3 requires registry entries to tell it where the expansions are stored, steam doesnt seem to do that, I could only get it to detect the base game when I had half a dozen EXPs on steam alongside it.

Installing off a backup would probably work.

You could probably also export a .reg file of the relevant install locations, too, if that's all it's after.



I ended up picking up a heap of games, but to get the Terraria 4-pack (when it was on sale), I had to purchase it on my gf's steam account. Which was her first purchase (despite my gifting to it for a year). Guess I can't gift Terraria on to friends until next month, now : \
