In the mean time work continues. Took a few days but I've finished re-doing all the results for all 5 seasons. You should also see links to move from previous round to next round to make navigating easier. All the videos and race reports should also be up to date. But almost certainly I miss stuff so if I have please let me know.

Sorry I'm coming late into the GP2 debate here....

I'd much rather two competitive leagues with 8 racers each, than one with 16. Having a full grid is nice but it doesn't mean quality, just quantity.

I think the first GP2 season was a success. nobody did a great job and I think it just needs someone to drive it from the administrative side of things. So I'm going to put my hand up to organise the GP2 side of things. Since I do the stats, website content anyway, it seems logical for me to do that.

All I need is someone to by my eyes at the race, getting screenshots of results and acting as a host for rounds.

im going to say Button will take the win tonight, i predict Massa will flop and wont finish in top 5. and Alonso will smash the pack and finish on the podium.

It was a bit of a sad race really. Big ups to Alonso, it was simply amazing how much overtaking he did in the first few laps, sometimes 2 or 3 cars a lap. I know he had the car to do it, but it did remind me of Senna at Monaco for a bit there. But there were so many retires for car failures it did put a damper on the result.

But the real moment of pain happened when I finally came to the agonising, unmistakable truth that simply cannot be ignored any longer. Vettel is better than Webber. It's OK, we can say it. It's cathartic, it will help the healing process. When Seb came out behind Mark after his drive thru and passed him so easily, whilst on the same tyre strategy, that's just good driving. I watched the two of them in the race and Seb was lapping a half second faster easy for most of the race. Thats skill right there.

Then, WEB is sitting in 6th or 7th and overcooks it with shitty tyres and poor judgement. Flat spots all 4 wheels. Epic fail. Miserable, I was.

Then, holy WTF, on the last lap, Ricciardo is in 10th and can cruise home, then for some unknown reason goes 5 seconds slower on the final lap and ends up 13th. Still dont know wtf happened there. And, after Verne crashed out, it was a perfect chance to pull points back on him.

It was a sad day in the land down under :(

I will be happy to do that, plus seeing as though I have website access I can help you out when needed too. I hosted most of the races last season anyway, and am happy enough to do it again.

This is all depending on the new game though, depending on my speed in the new game, I may try the step up to F1 league.

@Ploddy, yes, terrible race as far as I am concerned... wasn't happy at all. Just drive faster Webber, geez... it's not hard, everyone else can do it...

Massa finished 4th.

Bad day for Red Bull. And very nice run by Perez, was on fire at the end. Seems Massa has his mojo back too.

Agree about Sauber, they are becoming a class act. I heard James Allen's interview of their CEO and i like where they are heading as a team. Sounds a bit like Red Bull 5 years ago...

Vettel & Button failing to finishing gifted him a top 5 finish, so in theory he didn't earn it himself come the race end.

Yeah, I am a big fan of the Race series, even though I got into when it was a few years old, had a lot of fun hot lapping in that game.

Really looking forward to the new one, will pick up the full version. Disappointed it's not GTR3 though

F1 2012 loses Grand Prix mode

Tweet from Hood leads to official word
Following a somewhat cryptic Tweet from Codemasters’ Creative Director, Steve Hood, over the weekend, Codemasters has confirmed that the Grand Prix mode that allowed players to create and compete in a full F1 season as an official F1 driver (or what was known as Grand Prix mode) has been removed from F1 2012.

The news, of course, did not sit well with fans that are just learning that Codemasters was forced to drop the Grand Prix mode. It has since been replaced by a “Quick Race” mode that allows players to jump in and start racing right away, but you can’t create a series of races.

Players will still be able to compete in the full F1 World Championship, but only as an official F1 driver, which has been available in previous F1 title releases from Codemasters.

As to the reason for the change, Codemasters has been cryptic, but it clearly seems to involve licensing restrictions of some sort. F1 2012 will arrive for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on September 18th in North America, and September 21st in Europe. The demo is already out for the Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 3 demo expected to arrive for download today.
