FlashForward (aka Flash Forward) Options

Caught this tonight, and really (surprisingly) liked it.

Found myself truly scared twice in the show, don't really know why, but was a cool feeling... Feels a lot like the early days of Lost, which to me is a good thing :) Also reminds me a little of Jericho but I'm more intrigued.

So anyone else going to follow this one?

I was worried it was going to be a bit of a soap opera but the first ep moved along nicely.

If it's anything like Lost, it'll be at least three seasons before you meet the guy who was walking around at the end. Although I'm fucked if I can figure out how someone reviewing footage from hundreds of cameras could've spotted some guy all the way across a stadium.

It's an interesting premise. I'll definitely keep watching it. Agree with above I hope it doesn't end up like lost, where it started off interesting and just dragged on far too long. Same as prison break, good story but 4 seasons later they're out and it's still called prison break.

Some of the best shows have a short amount of seasons and never lose pace. And that's what makes them awesome, e.g. the uk series of the office.

The same way you spot hidden opponenents while playing multi-player Halo... he was the only thing moving in an otherwise still picture.

Maybe she was a multi-player shoot-em-up fan? :-p

Still, that worries me. I don't want to have to wait 3 whole seasons just to find out the identity of a character introduced in the first episode. It's just too artificial.



Something they didn't mention in the show: 25% of the planet would have been experiencing the blackout between midnight and 6am, on a weekday right? Which means fully a quarter of the planet (by area) would have had hardly any accidents and fatalities.

What time did it happen again, and what city were they in? We could work out which countries escaped most of the destruction.

I enjoyed it, pretty interesting concept. But everyone was way to causal about the whole event, and the hospital was very quiet from the shots they showed. Not enough chaos.

It has potential to swing either way. If the story stays tight and on course I think it will be awesome. However it could easily start to meander and then turn it around with a cliff hanger season finale.

Don't get me wrong I will be watching, but I hope it stays on course.

Never got into LOST...and given the frustrations that causes some people with the need to catch every single episode for X number of years...not sure I could suffer it.

"Fringe", "Dollhouse" & "Warehouse 13" should see me through...might check this out once the DVD season (and season reviews) arrive.

Except he's not the bad guy, he's the good guy and nothing's ever as it seemed.

It was alright; I'll keep watching but I just hope it don't feel the compulsion to claw out my eyes when they explain the Science™ behind it all.

Thinking about sourcing a copy of the book, though.

That's why I couldn't find it. I enjoyed the many adds for oceanic.

I wanna know what happened to the peeps on the space station if anything, and I wanna know if anything funky happened with submarines an extra 2.17 of full dive could really fuck with you're day.
They should find that guy next week or at least give us a geez at him. Surely he wandered out past a fuck tonne of other cameras but since video monkey didn't bother to trace a path to them perhaps
we won't be seeing him for a while. Maybe he bought his ticket online with a credit card it looked like reserve seating?

The helicopter that had crashed into the side of the building gave me the shits. Ages after everyone wakes up it explodes while smoking and being magically stuck to the side of the building blades spinning full tilt the whole way down WTD? The tanker explosion was also pretty sad. FX aside there is some room for a decent story or two here.

Maybe it's just the course correction from Juliet whacking the bomb :)
