ahhh, thats better, got telstra in today to look at the very noisy phone line.... he found a wire that was corroded... pushed it back in he did..

This is what happens when I decided to ditch WiFi and connect to my modem/router with a Ethernet cable..

Since you're on cable, you can probably upgrade to 100Mbps with no increase in your monthly cost.

Finaly got my phone line sorted out at my new unit and damn thats a much better speed than what i used to have!. At the old house Dwload was around the 8.5Mb/s and upload was .30 Mb/s. I Know its not cable speed but freak im very happy with that :)

How so? I'm on Telstra Cable.





Ring them up and ask to upgrade to Ultimate Cable. You'd be on Elite at the moment.

You may need to change plans, if the one you're currently on doesn't exist any more.

There's a one-off fee for the new modem too, can't remember what it was off the top of my head...
