Yeah, like their policies or not, you can trust the Greens to try to do what they say they'll try to do, which you haven't been able to say about any other significant party in Australia for a long time. The Greens actually seem to give a shit about making Australia better, not just playing the politics game. I can understand where you're coming from. Kind of like saying a serial rapist is a monster but at least he's committed to rape. It's a pretty fair comment. With the other crowd, you think you're safe cos they wine and dine you, then rape you when you don't see it coming. :) -------------------- Just the other day I saw an article about an advertisement for a recent job opening at a McDonald's in Massachusetts that required applicants to have "one to two years experience and a bachelor's degree".

While I get the analogy it needs a little work.
As to the OP, not a Greens fan at all but im even less enamored of Christine than I was of Bob. Having said that this is a Liberal Democracy (mostly) and everyone has a right to be stupid. -------------------- 08/11/2012 the day the music died.

We've had some rippers in the past. Bob has done some good things.... but then he comes out with creepy stuff like the one world government idea (as Director mentioned). There was a load of stupid fuss over the idea Brown and the Greens in Dakar spoke of. It is not a "one world government" or "a new world order" or even "World Eco Fascist Government" no matter how paranoid Director is. There was no suggestion that national parliaments be dissolved. Or that a central body would rule us all. Here is Brown speaking about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_MpLocFQus Here is the original resolution. http://www.unpacampaign.org/documents/en/2...lobalGreens.pdf Sometimes it pays to track things down and examine them yourself rather than believing the craziest loon you can find with a blog. It will probably never happen but an international democratic body could be a force for considerable good. To piss yourself with fear over a idea so benign is ludicrous. -------------------- When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains

And it's something that for almost a decade I've thought was near-inevitable. -------------------- "If you want to build a ship, don't drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders.
