I still love this till death to us part.

Comfortable, spacious and rich in sound.

Price is great too.

EDIT: I'm sorry I realised I already posted in this....

A friend of mine got these. I'm thinking of grabbing the 2500 model. I wonder if it's worth the extra cash...? Good to see nice reviews though.

What's the pressure like on your head with the corsairs? I've heard more than once that they're a little headache inducing.

I've had these for about a month now.

Bloody awesome, far and away a better thing than the Gamecon 777s (which are the best in its price bracket I might add) I was using. The passive isolation is one of the best I've used, they're nice and light music and game sound reproduction is fantastic and the mic is extremely clear.
If you like the look of them and have $180 to spend on a headset just buy them. Oh and they are now available in a traditional Razer green and black motif if you don't like the orange.

As for combining the cables, you could use cable sleeve and heatshrink as suggested before, but that seems a little extreme and permanent. Allow me to suggest cable ties, they are about $1.50 for a packet at the supermarket and you could easily remove it again if you needed to.

So simple, I actually don't know how I didn't think of that :P
Heatshrink or braiding would look much nicer and a bit less DIY, but yeah as you say, a quite permanent solution which could pose problems if I wanted to reuse the mic on a separate set of phones.
I think I will grab a packet of cable ties this evening, thanks for the idea! Should make things much tidier :)

Seriously considering a set of these...

A lot of good things said about them, especially for the price.

I only read early impressions of the Tiamat and they all seemed to think the mic was terribad, and that the sound was average thanks to the tiny drivers.
7.1 positioning was better than other phones though, due to 7 actual drivers in the phones, rather than just having the effect emulated.

Really? I've rad that the sound is quiet good as long as you use it for games only, definitely not a music set, which isn't a problem for me as I got a proper dedicated set for beats and recording, gotta do a little more research about em maybe. bad mic eh :/ could be a deal breaker.
Some reading about em I guess, might see if I can find a pair at a shop somewhere I can listen to.

There are 2 headsets made by Roccat, the Kulo (virtual 7.1) and the Kave (over the ear 5.1) that both look great for under $100 each.

They might be worth considering...
