I know there are a few people here who might be interested, and I have not seen it widely advertised yet.

The Photographic Preservation Society (SA) is holding a photographic market on the 6th of May, between 9am and 2pm.
Location is the Hungarian club of SA, 82 Osmond Tce, Norwood.
Admission cost: $5 (children under 15 and PPSSA Members are free)

It's sponsored by Photo co Camera House in Central markets.

There is a lucky door prize, which I assume you can get the form at the door. Otherwise Photo Co have all of the info.

Will have to try and wander down for that.

I'm looking for a couple of cheap WA lenses to perform some experimental surgery on.

I went, but didn't buy anything - generally there seemed to be a lot of looking and not a lot of buying.

Mostly 70s & 80s consumer gear - Pentax & Oluympus 35mm stuff seemed quite common, Canon and Nikon was in lesser quantities, and nothing particularly special (mostly 50mm lenses and kit zooms). Quite a bit of vintage stuff which was cool to look at, also a little bit of groovy 60s/70s collectable toys (if you were into it), and some old cinema and analogue video gear. There was a little bit of digital stills gear, mostly cheap compact but all of it was people with other stuff who also had a recently upgraded and were flogging off their old body. I think there as a 5D1 and a D7000.

I was really hoping to find a F100 and/or an old 20/24/28mm prime, but no luck.

All the good, cheap Nikon and Canon lenses were probably snapped up by the staff before the show opened...8-)

I got there at about 12:30, so I am guessing most of the more interesting items had already been sold. As Stadl said, it was mostly older gear with the odd kit lens and a few filters.
A few interesting books, but I walked out not buying anything..

I went in hoping to find some older EF lenses or even a nice FD, but nothing grabbed me..

Yeah, I was looking for some EF lenses. I am fairly happy with my collection but I always like to look.
