Yes.

We get it.

We can get discount vouchers for a company for a product they no longer sell.

Not too sure what you're trying to say mate.

The relevance of the current discount of 15% is letting the OP know that the current value of his monitor is affected by the effective discounted price of a comparable new product.

the new ones are like $700 I think atm 15% of that is only $105.

Yes....but last month they were reduced by 200 (which happens regularly) ..... then when you apply the 15% they become that much more cheaper ....then on top of that you can go the haggle and viola ..... you get a reasonably priced monitor with 3 years warranty.

Two of these sold on OCAU for no more than 300 last week

I am the OP.

Stop posting the same info over and over in my thread. Either show some interest with a price, a rough price, or shut up. I don't particularly care to hear that I can buy a new one for $X over and over, with you lot having a pissing contest over how much you can screw Dell.

Because trust me, if you wanted to play that game, I could win. Just not when it comes to pissy little purchases like a single 24" monitor.

Yeah, but the new ones are not 2407s. The current stock is U2410, the last one was 2408. The 2407 is three generations old now. Hardly new, in technology terms.

Also, I reiterate, that the 2408s sold for $599 - 15% before they went end of life.

In light of these significant facts, I would say you'd get $250-300. This is a price check thread after all.

Perhaps in future you could elaborate on the word "thoughts" in the original post ....... rather than leaving yourself open to the current mish-mash of a listing :)
