Hey guys.

See this one: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=techexpr...p;express_no=86

Currently the bios updates are only available on 790fx, 790gx, some 785g, 760g and 740g chipset.

Hope they will release the bios for 770 series soon. Since I only got an msi 770 c45 and phenom II 550 on hand.

PS: looks like only a few of AMD cpu could be unlocked to more cores.

Athlon X2 5000+ with 0935 0936 0937 0938 numbers
phenom II 545/550 with 0922 0924 0925 0926 0927 0928 numbers
phenom II 425 with 0933 0937 0938 numbers

etc.

I don't think athlons can be unlocked on account of there being nothing there to unlock.

they did this just now? damn they are lagging behind

he probably meant Sempron LE's... turning them in to a dual core 5000+ equivalent.. although really they're Athlon II 2xx equivalent..

@ nesquick & slickgrunt - if i remember correctly the original 65nm phenoms had a 2 core version released as an Athlon X2 but AMD kept it a bit quiet, rather than the 45nm Athlons which are a new die.

AMD Phenom 9950 - Stock
Intel Celeron 550 - Stock
Intel P4 3.0 - Stock

I'm sensing a common theme here...
