I'm surprised no one has topped my scores yet. They have been in No.1 spot for quite some time now! Well i can only speak for myself, ive been trying for no.1 spot for ages, just havent been able to get a cpu that can boot higher then 51x multi :( still 3rd... /sigh 5.1ghz i7-3820 run 7.395s that run was bootable, im thinking i may have to go higher then 1.392v to get closer to no.1 spot, I just dont want my chip to degrade cause of 1.45v+ like my old 2500k did after like 30-40mins worth of benching at those volts... -------------------- Intel i3-3220 / MSI H77MA-G43 / 8gb DDR3 kingston HyperX 1866mhz / XFX 7750 2gb / Samsung 840 pro 128gb SSD all jammed in a Fractal arc midi R2 case

Yea No.1 is going to require som extra juice, but what happened to make you think your CPU degraded from running at 1.45v for half an hour?

Yea No.1 is going to require som extra juice, but what happened to make you think your CPU degraded from running at 1.45v for half an hour? Random instability issues, i think the Uncore part of the chip was slowly degrading, cause it would pass ram and cpu tests fine @ 4.8ghz 1.382v for the first 3months i had it, i actually had it at 1.56vcore, 1.4 IMC, 1.4v uncore for a few runs trying to get 5.3ghz stable, but after a couple of months, i had to reduce the 24/7 OC from 4.8ghz 1.382v down to 4.7ghz, then a month later, 4.6ghz, then 4.5ghz..., then i put it back to stock clocks/volts with turbo enabled and left it there to i ended up selling it. -------------------- Intel i3-3220 / MSI H77MA-G43 / 8gb DDR3 kingston HyperX 1866mhz / XFX 7750 2gb / Samsung 840 pro 128gb SSD all jammed in a Fractal arc midi R2 case

1.56v for a 24/7 overclock is pretty high. It took a while though, i thought you meant it happened after 40 minutes (from your last post).
Ah well, now you have a new chip :) -------------------- Blog: https://jackkb.net

Ah well, now you have a new chip :) nah i didnt use 1.56v for the 24/7 OC, i only used it during benching trying to get 5.3ghz stable enough for a superpi run to have a shot at your score :P i still think that short benching session started the degradation though, there was a about 1month +/- a few weeks of time after i settled on my 24/7 OC before i tried to reach higher, if that makes sense. -------------------- Intel i3-3220 / MSI H77MA-G43 / 8gb DDR3 kingston HyperX 1866mhz / XFX 7750 2gb / Samsung 840 pro 128gb SSD all jammed in a Fractal arc midi R2 case

![]() Probably the best I could do for Bulldozer before it literally melts a hole in my motherboard. I could go further but it'll just restart/BSOD/hang if I do. Seems 1.4v is the max and 4GHz to about 4.2GHz is the sweet spot here. -------------------- Main Rig: AMD FX-8320@ 4.4GHz/Asus Sabertooth 990FX/8GB G-Skill Ripjaws DDR3-1600@1766/Sapphire HD 7870@1050/5000/OCZ Vertex 2 120GB/Bitfenix Shinobi/Noctua NH-D14/Corsair HX-750

I have a nit to pick. If you have a look at the OP and check the results for Core based processors you should be able to see that 9.5 is quicker than 9.7.
Can't believe I never noticed before actually. -------------------- 08/11/2012 the day the music died.

First K7 submission in years!
Until I Vmod the board some more, this is my best I reckon Athlon XP-M 2400+@2737MHz(11.5x238) 2.025V, 2x512Mb OCZ GX EL PC3500 (BH-5)@238MHz 2-2-2-5 2T 00.37.828 Morgoth

@sora - Nice. Good to finally have a proper bulldozer bench in the results now.
@ReapermanRS - You're not allowed to nit pick. My thread, my rules and I say 9.7 is faster than 9.5... Until now. Fixed :) @Morgy - Shaved a second off your previous best, well done. Just need to find an extra half a second now to be one top of the K7 pile :) -------------------- Desktop: i7 950 @ 4.2GHz | HD6990 @ 1GHz | 6GB RAM | 120GB + 250GB SSDs | 2x 2TB HDD in RAID1

Thanks mate, shaving a second with only 30 MHz increase was a big job and lots of tweaking, getting a 250fsb fun is equally as hard, but I'll get there, I need to mod my 12v rail :/ it's hitting 11v flat half the time.
Cheers! -------------------- 2011 Atomic 3DMark & Game Benchmark Rankings !! http://forums.atomicmpc.com.au/index.php?showtopic=41178

First run with the new build and I punch out a 8.473 without even trying. No tweaking and a mild 4.4ghz O/C
Colour me impressed. -------------------- 08/11/2012 the day the music died.

Nicely done! I don't even know where to start with my OC. I'm so far out of the loop when it comes to OCing on an Ivy Bridge it's ridiculous. Time to read some guides me thinks.

I think I've almost got it sorted, just need to turn off some more power saving features. I'm already down to 7.768s @ 4725. Haven't even started on the Windows tweaking yet and I've already moved into 6th place overall. i5 3570k @ 4725 MHz (45x105) 1.486v, 4x4Gb Corsair Vengeance CML8GX3M2A1600C9W @ 1680 9-9-9-24 2T 00.07.768 ReapermanRS -------------------- 08/11/2012 the day the music died.

I think I may have a crack at some Superpi over the coming week. Probably OC my Phenom II X4 965, and see how my old Athlon 64 X2 6400+ goes, which if I play it right should be able to grab the top K8 spot
