Lego, A thread for all things Lego...

I like Lego. Probably because as a child whenever I asked my mother if I could have some Lego, she would beat me, lock me in a cupboard, then make me wear sundresses and answer to the name "Britney". But enough of my happy childhood moments, I'm sure there are a few other people here that enjoy the wonder of Lego, so here is a thread to celebrate that.

P.S. This is the coolest fucking thing I've seen since my cat got one of her eyes cut out and looked like a terminator for two days:

When i was a kid, my Dad used to be the official photographer for the lego shows. So we used to get in a day before the show opened to the public, it was awesome. Imagine being 7 years old and running around lego land, great memories.

Before I forget, I've always wanted to build a Lego V8 Engine, but I've never had the parts for it :(

I still have all my childhood Lego (I'm 37 now) but it's all what Mr Bug calls 'Vanilla Lego'.

It tastes good in icecream?

I loved Lego too. In fact I loved all the building blocks I managed to accumulate over the years (mostly as hand-me-downs).

Moving house recently I came across all of them, and I was way too tempted to get stuck into them.

This is my baby:

When I was younger, I saved and I saved and I saved, and I was more stoked than a steam engine ready to blow when I handed over that hard earned $200 and waddled away with that set in my arms. So young that the memories of that moment are fractured, but whole enough to get warm and fuzzy from it.

I'd love to see the full-scale model;
