I did that farm run, forgot the watch tower tho, made 290k gold just vendoring rares/blues in about 35mins (One run).

I've had such "bad luck" with item drops lately. I've found three Legendary items over the past two nights (not unlucky i know, but keep reading), but all of them have been complete and utter garbage. One was a lvl 61 2H mace, with 400 fucking DPS, 0.8 AS and shit stats like 1% chance to stun on hit. The other was a Ivory Tower shield, which is apparently able to be one of the best in slot items for a barb if the stat roll is good. Of course mine is shit, and my ilvl61 yellow is far superior. Finally I got a 1H sword called "shredder" or shome stupid name like that. 415DPS with nothing useful on it in terms of stats. I think I sold them all for around 70K collectively, but TBH I'm surprised I got that, they were serious trash.

Does anyone know when the "buff patch" for Legendaries is rumored to come out? I assume it isn't for a long while (hence why i just sold them all), but it would be useful to know when so I can save up any items that are almost good, but will become great if buffed.

I can tell you up front, the legendary items buff will not be retroactive :)
It's been confirmed by blizz.

Sell it all! Also, I feel your pain, I've found plenty of legendaries, some sold for up to 800k (surprisingly!) but they were all shit.

act 3 hell and only had my first ledgendary drop (level 59 at the moment) and that off some dude in the battlefields after you do all the bastion keep stuff. again it was shit - moved it on for maybe 50k i think

I think I only found my first legendary in Inferno, so it's not all that uncommon Corky.

I do two to three runs of Act 1 farming per night though in Inferno, and get 5 NV stacks up in under 15 minutes usually. In terms of character progression now, I'm pretty confident i could get into Act III without too much issue with my current gear, but I'll wait until I get a new weapon first. Mine is 580DPS 1H with +600 LOH, but no Vitality on it. I want to find one with 400-600LOH, 650+DPS and 100+ Vitality before moving on.

I'm slowly plodding my way through. I'm now lvl 42. NM Act II. Up to the bit where I have to find the blood of kulle or whatever it is called.

Got a happy moment when I got an amulet that gave me +40more dps, bringing me close to 1,000dps. At about 7,000hp or so (can't remember exact amount). Starting to work on resistances too.. Really lacking there. Got an average of about 30% reduction in all areas now. Coupled with 50% dmg reduction or whatever it is from my armour.

I was watching kriparrians twitch feed before. He was using pure dps setup. He had no resil and 20k life. All about the kite

I'm just leveling my Wiz in inferno. I have about 1800 Int, 800 Vit, with buffs about 4k armor and 250 resists. I cruised through act 1 using a pure DPS build: 35k dps. Can't handle Act 2 with that amount of resists tho. Even when kiting like a MFer you can't avoid the occasional hit and I get 1 shot if I don't happen to have Diamond Skin active.

I found that high DPS build is more fun that low dps high tank... for act 1 anyway.

I found my best item i've come across/seen so far the other night in act 1, not even farming, just progressing though:

Rare pants with 590 armor, 130 Int, 130 Vit, 76 Resist All, Health Globe bonus and Life after kill.
I checked on the AH and it's worth between 20 and 99 mil (with the massive gold inflation anyway). Much more valuable to me wearing them atm tho.

I typically run magic weapon and force armour too.. Armour is about 1750 with force armour. The dps is about 1175 with magic weapon (not sure unbuffed DPS. CBF'd looking).

I'm right at the very beginning of ACT3 NM.

So I'm thinking I'm on track or there abouts.

I'm not having any issues. I'm actually wading through the enemy in many cases. I typically only die if I get trapped. (Vortex can be a bit of a killer at times)

I'm rocking 60 melee wiz, just about to hit 59 on my barb, 34 dh, and started a WD. should all be 60 by the end of next week. Rolling in ilvl 62 rares atm due to mass crafting (spent 10mil in the last few days on it, and got some fucking epic loot).

Im guessing that your mage tank spec? Those are pretty reasonable stats.


Crit hit dmg is a interesting one. If i had the money to invest i would look at getting a max dps set for my monk. I believe you can get upwards of 40-50% crit chance. Then crit hit dmg upwards of 500-600%. Running dps spec (Faith in Light, Overawe (48%), etc) how quickly would something die?

Be a interesting one thats for sure.

I now likfesteal for 1.1K per hit and 2.2K if my sidearm procs from fury. Very useful for boss killing.

I want to find a 700-800DPS 1H with lower LoH and high vitality for creep killing though (as revenge is your main heal in crowded situations).

I had drop a mace with 700loh and 59 crit dmg 121 dex, 150str, 121 int. I was quiet happy. Believe there is a $20 current bid on it on the RMAH. Its only 470dps

I'm rocking these at the moment. It's definately worth getting weapons with as much LoH and Life steal as possible. I got one from the butcher and the other for 1.4m, so a bargain. I'm loving them.

I did some farming on the weekend and picked up a new shield with high block value. (21%) and a lvl 63 shield (Blocks 3.7k-4.7k) and a new belt. Really set myself up alot better.

Stats are: (No buffs)

17k Dps
9k Armor
16% crit
820 resist
30k HP
49% dodge.



I got right into hardcore the weekend also. Played a monk to lvl 17. So far so good, no fails.

What a weekend! Spent a lot of it chasing up some achievements that I've missed (bloody vendor one was annoying, especially Larra and the dude in the Watch Tower) got a few for crafting and equiping all lvl 25 stuff by accident. Decided to push through more in NM with my sorc, Belial is just as easy in normal as he is in NM. Act 3 had some what the!! moments, but in a good way. Getting smashed by elites, decided to see how I'd fair against Ghom. Turned out he was easy as well. Sitting around 1100 to 1200 DPS, found the vendor on the bridge and he had some good loot. Bought a yellow 1 handed axe, about 115 DPS, which pumped up overall DPS to 1800. Now these a big numbers for me, didn't think I'd be enjoying NM as much as I have. Seigebreaker, walking the dog easy. Got my 2nd legendary drop, armour, heart of stone or some such thing, useless to all my high level characters, my low levels will probably find something better by the time they can use the legendary armour. At least unlocked all stash slots, so I can have a collection of nice but useless legendaries. That's SOP for Diablo games though :-)
