Oh noes! Someones stealin ma Internet!, suddenly massive data useage... Options

So im on a plan with bigpond in which we get about 100Gb/month to use (i think it that much im not 100% sure) but suddenly over the last month and now there has sundelly been a massive increase in useage of 36GB used in one day and 26 on another day.

Me in a family of 5 dont even use 5GB per day between all of us so this is really strange..

We use a cable modem (a white netgear one) but one of the port isnt working so we used a wireless router (a linkseys one) but with the wireless antenna taken off. and this when it all started..

there as been suggestions that someone might be tapping (hacked?) in and using it but that seems unlikely as it isnt setup to be a wireless modem.

ive sought of doing a check of IP address to see who is connected (im not 100% sure how to do it so ill need help) and see if that can help.

dad has rung up telestra and they think it maybe a glitch in there end but im not sure because if someone is tapping in then we wont be able to get the data back.

any ideas on what i could do?

and while im at it what are good suggestions for a new cable router? (as the white ones 4th port is fucked)
