Where do you buy laptops from in Australia? Options

You've pretty much got to go to the manufacturer's local repair rep for warranty claims regardless of where you buy it from. Or rather you might as well, since taking it to the retailer just means it'll take longer 'cause they just take it to and from the local rep.

I like to find a good model that Officeworks stocks, find a lower price elsewhere, then force them to pricematch it and get an extra 5% off.

But in general, the online Lenovo shop regularly has good specials.

Lenovo does good specials every 1-3 weeks (see http://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/lenovo.com). That price is decent but you can probably do better if you're patient.

I'm guessing you could save ~$200 by getting the 2GB model and buying a single 4GB Kingston chip and popping it in yourself. It won't impact the warranty.

Well i would normally get the 2GB model and then upgrade the RAM myself (And save on Windows and install my enterprise version), but living in Norway makes it cheaper to pay the manufacturers infalted fees, sure as hell beats the price of a plane ticket =D

Dell is another good one, the business class laptops are good value and the onsite warranty is very good.
