Title kinda says it all

Dropdown navigation works fine in modern browsers... but is an absolute pile of silly in IE7

Please look and help;

FYI doens't work in IE9 either (appears below the main banner).
It's not just the menu that looks balls in IE7...

um, it ain't exactly opera-friendly, either, dude... (top half of the header image is missing and the dropdowns stay dropped)

anyway, it's ages since i used the "suckerfish" dropdown menu - your css for it seems more complex than i remember? i'll have a little pick at it, though, see if anything triggers a warning bell...

edit - okey-dokey...

a couple of things jumped out at me; mainly, the javascript to make it ie-friendly is missing a slash: it should be ...(" sfhover\\b")...
also, your "leftbar" ul has its li tags inside the anchors. pretty sure that shouldn't affect the main nav, but still...

haven't tested anything, so i've no idea if that'll cure anything or not, sorry. i'm kind of busy, or i'd really get stuck into it :o)

Thanks GTAV6 I am glad you are still around, it has been years since I frequented these boards, but you are still here doing great work :)

OK first weirdness is the fact in the source file there are 2x// in the js, but only one when I view source on the rendered page, adding a 3rd "/" delivers 2 when you view source 0_o (which is how i have it now)

Fixed the leftbar nav...

Still wondering.

Many thanks for having a look though :)

ps:works fine in opera for me :-/

just had another quick look and opera's all good now. for some reason the .swf didn't load when i first looked. which brings something else to mind; i've read somewhere in the past about ie getting its knickers in a knot when trying to perform a dropdown over the top of a .swf - can't remember what the solution was, or if there even was one.

regarding your js (weird...), i usually bring it in with a <link rel= /> rather than running it inline. wonder if doing it that way would cure the extra slash issue? if nothing else, it helps keeps your html just a little bit leaner :o)

The pull down menus hide behind the animated flash/shockwave in IE9 as found with IE7.
Fine with Firefox 7.
