I don't know if there's more than a couple of local Amiga guys on here, but figure I'll post this anyway.
Some local Amiga users are trying to get a user's group going, in northern NSW/SE QLD near the border.

I think they're just gauging interesting at the moment, but if you have an amiga or are even just a fan, check out this link: http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=59386

I've recently become the proud owner of two working Amiga 1000's, (to go with my 500 and 1200) which have been pulled apart and are bleaching in the sun, which I will be bringing along to the user's group :)

I (and I guess a few others) would tag along if it weren't a 15 hour drive away :<

Sorry for off topic - but I just have to know - why are the internals being sun bleached?

I'm just speaking from my experience here with SNES, however I do a full disassemble of the systems I buy, and soak and clean anything that isn't electrical, then bleach the yellowed components. It's obviously easier to bleach the system if it's in parts as the you can expose the whole exterior at once...

Yes, that basically.

I'm using retr0bright which corrodes metal so I like to keep it well away from any electronics :)

I'd come, Cooly's not too far from Lismore, but truth be told I own or know much about Amigas. :)
