Hi fellow @tomic gurus,
I was wondering if you guys could help me decide what I need to achieve the required tasks. Basically I'm self employed and having products designed with my own label and I'm having some problems trying to get the manufacturers to understand what I mean when I ask for them to modify a design. So I was thinking of getting a wacom bamboo tablet or something that would allow me to sketch and draw so I could show them what I meant rather then telling them. The thing is I've never really done that much graphics design aside from a bit at school with Photoshop/Illustrator Year 11/12 so could really use a hand. What do you guys think I should do? I don't want to spend more than $150 of the tablet just as a precaution if I can't draw for crap.. |

pen and paper costs considerably less than a Tablet. Exactly, pen and paper, then take happy snap with phone/camera (or scanner)... But if you are trying to draw over the top of an existing image I can understand, so I guess it comes down to how often you will be doing this whole process and whether it warrants spending some extra cash... On the tablet side, I haven't used the 'cheaper' tablets, but I can't imagine for your application there is going to be much difference between the cheaper to the more expensive versions (the extra accuracy or extra buttons probably aren't going to be appreciated). I believe the Wacom tablets can be quite cheap, so why not... If it saves you time then go for it. -------------------- "There is no charge for awesomeness.... or attractiveness."
