Hi all,
My machine is a bit old but still running smoothly, but, I thought a graphics card update could give it just a bit more grunt. I have a: Q6600 MSI 7357 motherboard Palit 9800GTX+ 8gig Ram 800mhz Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Onboard Realtek HD Sound 8 Tb HDD - internal and external OCZ SSD 120gig running the operating system Do you think I can squeeze out a few more pixels with the 560Ti? I didn't want to go too high end as the CPU would probably hold it back. Thx |

you will def get better fps with a new video card, but the rest of your system could become a bottleneck.
is your cpu overclocked and/or would you consider overclocking it? q6600 is a beast of a cpu, I was running mine at 3.6GHz for a few years 24/7 and I feel it still had some life left. Even 3.2GHz is achievable on most q6600s (8x400) and will certainly help. -------------------- i7 2600k | Z68A-GD80 | 8GB RAM | HD7970 | 120GB SSD | 1kW PSU | Butchered Case | Water Cooling | U2713H

The 560ti should go well with the Q6600, just overclock the cpu a bit and it should fly in most games.

I might also suggest that you don't waste your money on the 560ti, get a radeon 6950 instead, its more comparable to gtx570 than 560.
