Mass Effect 3 demo Options

So I figured we needed a thread since this game is 3 weeks away and the demo is lanuching tomorrow which lets you play a mid game sequence (no doubt the salarian homeworld mission that they always show) and then you can also play some coop which doesn't look that great but none the less I will give it a go.

some other stuff I have noticed is it looks like they have brought back a moderate level of customization for weapons, armor and skill trees ect, kind of a mid way point between ME1 and ME2 which is good. There is 3 options at the start of the game that lets you chose how you want to play RPG mode (game experienced as it was intended), action mode (for all the ADHD kids) and story mode (for much less fighting but you still get the full dialogue).

what I want to know though is what person do you play as if your Sheppard dies at the end of ME2 .

anyway discuss post thoughts and videos or whatever.

Haha, my bad :P I'm just about to finish ME1, haven't even taken a look at ME2 yet.

make sure you import your saves, gives you a nice starting bonus to ME2 and certainly makes life easier if you play on insanity.

You get a fresh Shepard that has no recollection of what happened in Nesquick's Grand Adventures in Mass Effect 1 and 2.

You get a Sheppard Mk2, or Mk3 (depending if you count that ME2 you were Sheppard Mk2).

Gah! Got my hopes up that I would be playing this tonight. Turns out it wont be released on pc till like 7am or something tomorrow morning.

I didn't even know about the demo until a couple of days ago, now i feel like I'm waiting forever just to get a taste of it. lol.

the best part is xbox users have had access since like the 10th if they got a code from liking some facebook page, im no way replaying them all on xbox though since all my saves are on pc.

Yeah bugger going and playing it all through again on xbox, prefer my pc thank you very much EA.

I have 2 play throughs, one where i took the calm approach and one where i took the aggressive approach, in both i kept the station. now i sort of wish i destroyed it in one of them just to see what happens. Might have to do an ultra quick runthrough of ME2 again prior to ME3 release.

in the 3rd book sheppard keeps the station and cerberus turns this paul grayson guy into a avatar for the reapers using tech from the saved collector base, so no doubt that has some bearing on what happens in terms of cerberus and the reapers.

guys the demo is on origin now, 2.1gb, luckily I have early multiplayer access so will give my opinions on that to.

I've just downloaded the demo and had a quick play through before I do some work. The combat is vastly improved over ME2. I nearly died a couple of times even on normal difficulty because enemies would flank me. Also, a lot of story related dialogue and walking around talking to people have been cut out to reduce spoilers.

Overall, I was impressed with it and I can't wait to get the full game. People on the Bioware forums have been moaning about lack of a proper trial for Shep at the start of the game, but I read Chris Priestly saying that players who import a Shepard will get a story recap. I wouldn't be surprised if this was in the form of a disciplinary hearing.

I played the SP part first, as soldier its piss easy, I need to test some other classes though, I won't reveal anything story wise but the game looks and plays a lot better than ME2 and that was me playing at just 1366x768 on a 1080p screen, the upgrade system feels right to with about 6 levels for each power up and you have to chose a branch at the 4th one, the guns feel a lot better as well needless to say I think people will like ME3 it doesn't feel like a console port even though it probably is.

MP is pretty fun to pass the time as well played a bit of infiltrator and soldier, I was playing with a level 10 adept who was just dominating the AI, the MP is best played with 4 people since it looks like they don't scale the number of enemies its just set for X amount whether you play by yourself or as a team ect, the matchmaking works well and there was minimal lag even though I was playing on overseas servers, theres a few different types of game modes with different levels (bronze, silver and gold) by the looks of it but you only get to play like a horde mode in the demo. you can play as other races once you have got enough skill playing the role as a human ie for soldier: theres human male>female>krogan>turian each with different powers.
