Bigpond went down today around 1:00 EST (2:00 EDST) and seems flaky still.

Kinda weird that our VOIP phones kept working, maybe it was just the DNS that went down?

The entire country is/was down for a moment there. All ISPs.....all international access was borked.

We had a few guys with Optus phones that didn't seem to have a problem, (although I daresay they didn't really test that much).

We didn't have a problem accessing the bigpond 'my account' from our Telstra phones.

Yeah my work (Sydney) was completely out.

I could still access our VPN which is just down the street though.

Power failure at a Sydney data center caused this. All 3g access went down for a little amongst other things.

Actually, there were some shenanigans regarding routing tables.

The second image doesn't seem to load for me here.

It's the same image as the first one, but the caption reads "Dodo, Internet that dies!"
