Hi all,
I was given a Gigabyte P35-DS3P board just tday and thinking of building a secondary pc which will be used for some casual LAN gaming, web-surfing and microsoft office stuff. Havent really tried testing if its working or not, but Im pretty sure it does. Unfortunately, theres no drivers CD, but I can get that from gigabyte's web. Ive got a spare case that I can use for this build and wish to spend around $3 - 400. Will it be worthwhile using 775 since Ive got a free mobo? Cheers, CoHmS. er.......it's a very ancient board - PCI-E 1.0, and we're up to PCI-E 3.0 now
imho, if you're going to spend that much, get something new or at least newer than that look thru the 2nd hand sections here and wherever else you go (like OCAU) - for instance I've sold 2x late/current model boards, a Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3P-B3. and an Asrock Z68-Pro3-Gen3 in the last few weeks, and neither went for more than $80. just sold a brand new Gigabyte factory overclocked HD6870 for $170 don't spend your hard-earned on obsolete rubbish ;) -------------------- Quote by lunchbox1988
