Friday can't come soon enough and I don't know why. I mean the Retina display is making it worth the upgrade to me.
No idea why it's got me so excited and anxious though, I didn't give 2 fucks about the iPad 2 |

Picked up an iPad 3 this morning. The display is absolutely gorgeous and the dictation works really well ! The extra processing power is very noticeable as well, especially with large documents. Very happy with it.

yeah if there's one thing I'm a fan of, it's the ability to flip through image heavy PDF's, my iPad 1 was extremely slow in this regard

It's extremely wasteful, but still useful information for anyone concerned about breaking their screen. They did one comparing a Galaxy Tab and it came out much better than the iPad. They also did the same with an iPhone 4 vs. Galaxy S II.

I picked one up in the Apple store in Osaka, and another electronics store, and instantly thought they were hotter than my iPad 2. That was before I'd read any reports about them overheating, so it wasn't a psycological thing. To be fair though, the display models in shops are turned on constantly and often playing videos, so it's understandable that they would be hotter than my iPad 2 which just was occasional use.
