Well being an avid formula 1 fan and being unemployed does that lol. You guys aren't slow either and unlike a lot of pub races i've had in this game it was some nice clean racing too, I had a blast.

Loosey, not the best initiation I guess. Sorry about the times I hit you. You need to join vent man, then you would have heard why it happened. I kept mistakenly putting my foot on the clutch instead of the brake on that first corner. Sorry again. I had some good racing towards the end there once Hurricane Flouncy left the session. That is when I remapped the clutch to brake.

All good bro, the incidents weren't that bad so don't worry about it :)

I dunno what you're doing Ghost. I can definitely feel the steering lock on my wheel, and i don't play with 900 anywhere. 700 on iRacing and 360 on F1 2011.

Now you've got a G27 throw on iRacing again and bang around in the MX5 using the H pattern and clutch like a pro :)

Yeah, I have my wheel set to 270. I like to keep my hands in positions 9 and 3 and not have to let go at all, just like how the game shows it. One problem with that, last night I found out when I turn to the right I hit the KERS button(mapped to the top left button) with the part of my palm just below the thumb as I turn my wrist (not my big fat sausage fingers ET).

You can probably feel the steering lock because you have the centre spring set to 0. When I set it to that I can definitely feel when the lock kikz in. But I loves me some centre spring goodness.

And my iRacing sub ran out 2 days ago. I would like to try the G27 with it but it will have to wait until I can resub for another month.

I joined this competition back in Season 3 as it sounded fun (and is/was), but also it wasn't full meant I could join without other more serious atomicans being locked out. Now that the list of atomicans whom would like to play each week exceeds that of how many we can have racing at 1 time, I feel there are much better drivers here than me that deserve my spot more than me

I'm going down as reserve due to this. I would very much like to race each week, but I don't mind if it's in this mystical 2nd race which I hope to be organised soon, or whenever there's a spot in the main competition

I wouldn't say I've been uming and ahing, or fucking around as you've said, more doing what's right for everyone here. Quite frankly, you're gonna get a lot better racing without a slow guy with a slow connection

I do understand - and sorry that I was a bit crabby yesterday, just gets frustrating when it's all so close to organisational perfection but loose ends hold it back from my dream of neat tidyness.

Anyway, you'll be racing with us no doubt, and hopefully you'll know in advance what tracks so you can blow us away with the pace you do *actually* have.


e: oh and there's *always* FNP.


ee: Oh oh and and - moto and loose - fallen will let us know after his experience in tomorrow night's FNP whether or not he will sign on as a regular racer - so if you don't mind waiting on that, we'll soon know exactly who is a regular and who are the reserves. Really looking forward to racing with you again properly anyway loose - you're fast. I can only assume moto is equally speedy.

It's actually designed to work the other way around - for non-reserve drivers to say if they CAN'T race.

But I took his meaning yesterday to be because he feels his connection is flakey, and that he can't always race for various reasons. Only this last post above is different - but honestly there's been so much grief finalising the list that when he said yesterday that he'd be a reserve I went with that, instead of another round of the 'yes you should race' circle. And prefer to stick to SOMETHING instead of endless back and forthing, which is where we were at before.

The priority should be finalising the regulars list (which I thought we'd done weeks ago).


e: nothing personal nobody, but last season you "pulled out" many times. I don't want more of that this season, especially when there's a queue for spots.

I don't mind waiting and yea webby is around about the same pace as myself, i couldn't honestly split us, whenever we've raced we haven't been to far apart

That's fine, no offence taken. That is the reason why I am now a reserve. I was fooling myself thinking I could go back full time with the reasons why I quit last season still standing

FYI there's a new verion, 0.4.1 of F1Speed that now shows average lap time for the session. Useful if you're doing various long run evaluations or are simply wanting to get more consistent. I haven't updated the sceenies yet but it sits in between fastest and current lap. current lap is now lower.

I'm just glad you dont have me and Modz mixed up anymore.

Re the next race, I'll be happy with a 5th or better for this one. It's not a strong track for me at all. I'm also away for Easter so no more practice time for me after tonight until next Monday. That wont help.
