Spent 30 mins being sent, by my satnav,the wrong way to a supermarket that didn't exist, then eventually finding one, only to realise that I had my phone and had forgotten my wallet at the hotel. I thought of this thread quite a bit on the way back to get my wallet.

This thread had me all excited, so I went in search of an NFC phone.

What a let down.

Unless I want to pay an exorbitant amount, or settle for some very average performance, nothing was to be found. Cheapest I could fine was a Huawei Sonic (I think that's the model), but no Flash and a 600mhz single core processer sent me running. Or pay $700+ for a phone bang full of features, but leaving me no money to put into my Google wallet.

I find this concept quite interesting.

I also have a Galaxy Nexus... but not sure of the risks when it comes to rooting the phone.
Time to do some research I think!

Apparently it works with CM9 with a hacked Wallet apk from MoDaCo.

Finally got around to trying to install this, but apparently SGSII sold in Aus does not support NFC so it just won't work.

For anyone with a better phone, this hacked version will sort you out.

I was in a Greyhound Food bar Stop off in Slovania, and I saw a guy buy a coke and a pack of smokes with his phone, it kind of freaked me out, funny thing was tha was in 2005.

Also Corps already run everything.

how convenient, I really wanna give this a try :D i always forget something, wether it be cash or wallet or forgot that i paid for something on the internet and left my debit card on the bench, but i ALWAYS bring my phone with me.
