Hoy peeps! I reckon it's time for another meet.
I had a better excuse for it until this morning: Trkstr was (I thought) heading OS for a while - and so was Subby. As it happens, Trkstr isn't going anywhere. Subby's still off to Iceland for a bit, though. So, who's in the mood for a decent meal in the company of fellow geeks? To save on the usual arguing about it, I'm positing the Edit: Oops - got the restaurant name wrong. Steaks at the Alehouse, plus watching Sooki Stackhouse == weird conflations. Table for 6 booked: 7pm on Friday 9th under the name Atomic.
If anyone else shows up who hasn't responded to this thread yet, they're going to have to take pot luck as to whether they can get a seat or not. Edit: Y'know, there are about a dozen Atomicans in this city, but we only ever see the same 5 or 6 of us. It'd be nice to see some of the other faces once in a while. Well, if nothing continues to happen wrt the national meet this year, I'm going to schedule a local one in aug/sep for certain. We can only hope for something sooner than that. ;)
Hmm... Iron Sky should be on soon. Mayhap a mass outing to Norwood cinema is in the offing? (It's an order of magnitude nicer than TTP - I can't speak for any others recently.
