Mum's pc shat itself a while back and I had to replace the hard drive and, evidently, there is no way to copy the music she copied off cd's back onto her pc. So far google has let me down. I'm not an apple man, I have NFI how anything they make works.
So, oh ye men and women of wisdom, how the hell am I going to get her music off the Iphone and onto her pc? -X -------------------- "We were being told that we must become what we are not, sacrificing what we are to inherit the masquerade of what we will be. How come she cannot copy the cd's she has back onto her Hdd ? As for iphone would never own one so cannot help with that. But to rip cd's to your Hdd is easy, just use any of the following software its free as well. :)
Free Rip CDex Exact Audio Copy Hmm this might help with your iphone problem. Share Pod This post has been edited by bowiee: Mar 15 2012, 05:35 PM |

WMP can rip MP3s from CD. Don't need additional software.

One does not simply transfer music from an iPhone.

not sure about iphones, but on ipods (talking 3rd gen here..) you used to be able to copy a hidden folder and all the tracks were there in various folders with names like AA00011 and stuff..
of course, all the naming information from the files themselves were missing, but importing back into itunes, and allowing itunes to rename them usually fixes it. chances are they found a better way to fuck people over by now and you have no chance. @bowiee: She can, but it will take a really long time.
@Cyberglitch: I'm beginning to think that. -X -------------------- "We were being told that we must become what we are not, sacrificing what we are to inherit the masquerade of what we will be. One does not simply transfer music from an iPhone. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I lol'd way too hard at that :P @bowiee: She can, but it will take a really long time. @Cyberglitch: I'm beginning to think that. -X It's a right bitch. I'm pretty sure you can do it the way p0is0n mentioned, but I also think you can do it through iTunes somehow. I can't remember how, and knowing iTunes, it won't be simple either. But I have a feeling there is a box you can tick somewhere that will stop iTunes wiping everything from it as soon as you try and re-sync it with another PC. -------------------- Rig: 2500K, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, Asrock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3, 2 x 6970 2GB, Asus Xonar Essence STX, Corsair Neutron 240GB

For future reference, media monkey does this also, and has the option to rename files based on ID3 tags.

For future reference, media monkey does this also, and has the option to rename files based on ID3 tags. I was banned so I couldn't post this when the thread popped up, but +1 to the above suggestion, girlfriend used media monkey to rip all the music off her ipod and 90% of it came out named. -------------------- My Rig: ASUS P67 Sabretooth | i5 2500k @ 4.6ghz w/ Corsair H80 | 8gb G.Skill Ripjaw-X 1866mhz | 2x7950 @ 1000mhz CrossfireX| NZXT Phantom | Corsair HX850
