Heya Guys,
I did a search on my username and wow it came up with all my details from this site. Enough for ID theft anyhow. So i just checked to make sure it was not cookie grabbing or something else so i typed in a few names from these forums. You would be surprised what i found using <username> atomicmpc. Tell the Keymaster he left the door opened. |

Well, I tried it. I don't know wtf you're on about, codecreeper.
There is just over one page of results for me (once I exclude 'cyber', which clearly isn't me), and none of those is even vaguely more revealing than anyone can see in a standard thread reader. Those links indicate it is their for our posts in the forums and too promote the forums. And too Cybes your name is a common variety maybe that is why you cannot find it. Cybes can be shortened for anything beginning with Cybe.... |

They're public facing, so by definition anything you put onto them is something you're happy for the public to see. Which means anything on there that enables identity theft is something you've decided can be used for identity theft. Not really that bothered. Was just trying to raise this issue just in case someone hacked these forums its been happening a lot with forums lately. Most of that info not really much ,if they want to find me their are heaps of other ways. |
