It's the motherboard? I thought it would be the CPU as it has the memory controller.

100%? 0% on 32 bit OS also is the motherboard not the actual 'problem' with memory compatibility never the CPU its actually 100% just there exists a mathematical limitation for 32bit operating systems which allows only 4gb to be addressed. also http://ark.intel.com/products/37147/Intel-...Ts-Intel-QPI%29 max memory = 24gb This post has been edited by nesquick: May 19 2012, 06:35 PM -------------------- STEAM/BC2 name: AllNightmareLong

That "limit" was just because there were no 8GB modules at the time. Depending on the board it will work with 48GB: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1664775 http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/304996-3...gb-confirmation -------------------- not working is hard work
